...then you might like Utsurowazarumono: Breath of Fire IV add

It's all about dragons and magic in both world and in their own right. The dragons designs are both incredibly detailed and innovative in both manga. Of course, BOF is much more about dragons to Fairy tail's mage oriented story yet a dragon fan will probably enjoy both if not for plot, for these creatures. Fairy tail is an original manga but Breath of fire IV is adapted from quite a brilliant game and one of the best in the series. Both of them have a very important sub plot being the bond between the characters, BOF is more subtle about it yet everything that occurs in it is very connected to the feelings between the characters including the 'villain' and his own encounters which is a very intriguing and might get to you of you're the emotional type. Fairy tail is all about bonds and its feel good pace is always a plus from all the dramatic series out there. If it's about bonds and dragons then these 2 series are worth looking into.

If you liked Kimi ni Todoke add

...then you might like Amanchu! add

It is easy to identify what isn't similar about these series considering Amanchu! does not have a romantic plot but I've generally felt the same impact from both manga. They are both coming of age stories and the main characters (Sawako and Dotty) all pass through a necessary growth to better themselves and have more self confidence as well as not rely on a close one (Kazehaya and Pikari). What is different is one may be focusing more on the friendship plot than the romance oriented one. Both are quite adorable though and do give a unique feeling of warmth. The impeccable art that goes with it, especially Amano's lovely touch at backgrounds, which makes it all more delightful. So the choice is quite a nice one between similar yet different aspects of life i.e. whether you want to see a relationship between different sorts of couples blossoming or a simple fun and crazy bonding between high school girls and seniors in a scuba diving club just plainly allowing themselves to drift along youth. I assure you both are touching in their own way and make you think about the future in a somewhat less scary but still quite terrifying way, but at least you know you're not the only one in doing just that.
