Making fun of 14 year old girls get you rep on AS? Talk about a target rich environment. I figure I'll get my second box in a year or two...if I'm lucky. I'm of the mindset of ignoring most people on AS. If I can ignore the AS WoW thread, everything else should be cake.

Yeah, Krauss really has been useless so far. He shows some admirable traits throughout the game, but he's kinda lacking when it comes to being badass. Think his wife is more of a man than him sometimes.

In other news, I started ep5 not too long ago. I'm enjoying the fresh twist on the game and of course, not being spoiled before hand. Was thinking about buying FFXIII as well, although I'm not sure I should considering my propensity to not finish console games. Of course, WoW is to blame, but the some of the heroic modes are challenging enough to make me want to keep playing hah.

That game honestly sounds like a waste of time to me. It seems more like they didn't play test their product well enough or they did, but didn't give a damn and released it anyways. It sorta reminds me of a game my friend played where he reached a point where he could not do anything possible to advance in the level after spending hours on it. The same shoddy QCing is the same at least. In any case, I laud your persistence, but games are supposed to be fun hah.

Again, Toyslogic doesn't fail to live up to its reputation. I was reading a thread on AS where a guy was complaining about Toyslogic continually delaying his product, but at the same time complimenting the fact that they at least notified him. I'm not sure if his compliments will continue after months of delays.

Grats on your second box. I'm sure your Bleach power ranking posts are contemporary classics.

I've recently finished ep4 of Umineko. As before, each ep continues to be better than the last. I was rather surprised by Virgilia turning into comedy relief as you previously mentioned. Quite the contrast from being Beato's superior in a magic battle (sans the surprise attack) to biting her tongue and being squashed beneath a goat. Was also somewhat amused at the Krauss-Goat battle. Felt like it was sort of a stretch, but it's not completely bothersome. Anyways, I'm especially enjoying ep5 since it is completely new to me. Of course, I'll probably be sorely disappointed (even more than the first series) when the second season of the anime shows up.

Well, it's good to see that the play isn't completely "gear-dependent". And like you said, I suppose they can always implement different styles and rules to make a more even playing field. It would seem rather newbie-unfriendly if the buy in for a competitive deck was substantial.

Yeah, my facebook is rather boring. I don't really have info on there and I just use it on the odd occasion anyone wants to get back in touch with me.

Also, my figure finally came in yesterday, so I don't have to fly out to Toyslogic and kill someone. Also, Umineko 5 and 6 came in so I'm trying to finish ep4 so I can get around to playing 5. Umineko has gotten better with each ep and it's really given me a greater appreciation and fondness of each character. I just hope my laptop doesn't die before I get done.

Yeah, it's kinda disappointing that the last major raid of the expansion seems undertuned. Then again, it might just be that Paragon and Exodus are that good. I guess we'll see next week.

I suppose that rare card mechanic exists in almost any card based hobby, though I would prefer to not have the odd chance that someone will have a better chance at winning just because they got lucky with their purchase. At least you found some fellows that share your interest, who can probably expound upon your plight better than I can.

I'm tracking the package via UPS and it's moving, albeit slowly, so I don't think they're lying this time.

This is fine for posting comments, I just get really lazy about replying sometimes. The same goes for the facebook page I never use.

I haven't heard anyone say anything about the relative difficulty of ME2 versus the first. Although, DA felt kinda easy too unless you put it on the harder settings, and then it was just retarded.

As for the WoW front, we downed LK the other night. Should've killed it the previous week, but w/e. The ending seems kinda contrived to me, and I'm sure it'll link to one last raid before Cataclysm. Also, heroic Icecrown seems kinda meh as a decent amount of first week LK killing guilds have breezed through a sizeable portion of it. GG bliz I suppose. Also spent almost all my dkp for a trinket so I'll waiting for the other plate dps to get their stuff first till my points build back up again. Don't even feel like posting random epeen screenshots in the AS thread anymore...

With regard to your Magic rant, it truly sounds like fan exploitation for profit. Not surprising really, but unfortunate. Is the Magic company (no idea who makes the cards) in dire straits financially? I wouldn't think they are if they're able to sell cards for that much.

On a last note, my Fate figure from Toyslogic actually shipped. I won't breathe easy until it arrives though.

I ordered episode 5 and 6 just the other day. I'm looking forward towards more involvement by Bernkastel. I suppose I could dl the game, but I actually feel like supporting the makers and buying it legit heh.

I've heard a lot of great things about ME2, but as it is now, I don't think I'd play it if I bought it. I haven't even gone back to my 2nd playthrough of Dragon Age, though I intend to finish it eventually. And I'd probably want to play ME1 too just for continuity and appreciation.

Also, lol @ people on AS not caring about the LK until heroic mode because he only drops weapons. It's unlikely that they'd down him in normal mode anyways.

Sorry for the late reply, but I think I'm good for now. I've actually cut back on my own alt playing time. Haven't had the motivation really and I feel like doing other things. I've been enjoying the Umineko VN recently. The characters are fleshed out a lot better obv, especially Beato. I've come to like her more now through the game.

And Ronove really does laugh "Pu ku ku ku"

I'm not sure who I want to root for in the SB, despite living close to NO. I'm leaning towards Indy, because I would hate to see Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger (mostly Tom Brady) as the only multi-title QBs of this generation.

And lol @ the WoW thread again. Does my urge to flaunt a world 5th Blood Queen kill and crap over all of their difficulties make me a bad person?
Kikkoman Jan 25, 2010 6:08 AM
Ah well, you didn't miss too much, though the Indy-NYJ game was decent. I have to say I'm pleased with the results. I don't think the playoff picture was so clear when the season was ending and people emphasizing momentum (lol GB and SD).
Kikkoman Jan 24, 2010 8:05 PM
Not sure if you watched the playoff games at all, but I don't think I've seen a more disappointing 31-28 overtime game like the NFC championships. There's just something about a non-existent offense for one team and a crapload of turnovers for the other team that kinda kills the mood.
Kikkoman Jan 23, 2010 7:34 PM
Congratulations I suppose. Looks like they're not completely worthless after all. I actually considered that they might have been the source of my credit card info leak as well. Like you said, their business practice seems to be less than methodical.
Kikkoman Jan 22, 2010 5:43 PM
Surprisingly, Toyslogic actually accepted my payment, so I guess my pre-order is in. Lik e you though, I'm still waiting for them to ship it. In any case, this will be my last transaction with them, so I won't have to go through this crap again.

And yeah, that quote really tempts me to be a complete asshole. I'm sure not being able to break 2k on a DK and blaming it on the patch gets you into elite guilds.
Kikkoman Jan 22, 2010 3:54 AM
Not sure if you're still alive, but here's the most recent gem from the AS WoW thread:

"I didn't have problem getting my foot in doors to top guilds as warlock, pally or dk. but so far no raiding guilds willing to take me in as hunter because they already had hunters ~_~
"
Kikkoman Oct 17, 2009 1:44 PM
Yeah...the latest series of posts have been spectacular and not in the good way. The amount of stupidity is quite staggering. Good on you for doing what you should've done awhile ago. I made a reply to the thread, but you've covered most of the key points earlier.
Kikkoman Aug 18, 2009 10:47 AM
I ignored all of LS's posts, but Kyero Fox gets to me for some reason. LS's posts may be trivial, but they don't smack of pure stupidity and ignorance for the most part.

I should have been more specifc about my like for Hakumen. I enjoy the part where he talks and the screen shakes. I don't pay attention to anything else really. As for Bang, he's not that bad (his Astral is very TTGL-ish too), but I grew annoyed with him when I fought him as Arakune in arcade mode. His speech seemed to take forever and apparently Arakune thought so too.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
