It's really a case by case thing. Some shows are worth the 1080p, some aren't. Generally a good way to gauge whether a show is worth getting in 1080p is to see if bakabt has it in 1080p or just 720p. We run comparisons for every single bluray offer we get, and only accept 1080p releases when they are found to be of significant quality gain over the 720p version. BakaBT currently doesn't have a 1080p version of k-on 2, so I would think that in this case, it's not worth the 1080p.
Hadena are terrible, Hatsuyuki aren't great as they have a lot of awkward phrasing and translations, Mazui got lazy with some of their releases such as Haganai, DameDesuYo are generally sloppy... and then there are the old groups that no longer exist that were terrible, but I can't think of any off the top of my head since they were pre-2008...
