Hm.. You see, I love strong heroines too!! I've had such a problem looking for mangas like this that I finally gave up and just read whatever came to my hand.
I'll give you some recommendations and as soon as you read them, PLEASE tell me your opinion! I'll be so glad to have someone to discuss them >///< nobody understands people who love shojos :<
Just so you know, my manga scores aren't based on strong heroines, but on the level of goosebumps I get while reading them :> So even if I score them as a 7, they may still be awesome!
Let's see... I'll also give you a short review of them.

1. Mixed Vegetables
Girl wants to marry into the boy's family so as to inherit the skills of a sushi chef and the boy wants to marry into the girl's family so as to become a pastry chef. That makes them pretend to love each other. Girl is strong, not a crybaby and overall is cute :>

2. Saboten no Himitsu
Mostly unrequited love but very EXTREMELY cute >///< Girl doesn't give up whatever happens and she's strong :)

3. Nousatsu Rock Shounen
THIS. If you want goosebumps, THIS is the manga for you <3 I prayed SO MUCH to forget reading this manga just to read it again. I'm not giving you any spoilers on this one!
