Warning! Several of the ratings in my list are heavily influenced by nostalgia as I was basically raised by 80's/90's anime series. Your experience may vary.
Happy birthday, and here is to many more years of us arguing over our irreconcilable tastes. We're shonen rivals, but the question is which one of us is the protagonist?! And how yaoi-bait-y have we become in our rivalry?
Sorry for not responding sooner, but the only thing I could think of was "I agree!" and that seemed like a bland sort of reply. XD
I will admit it was the clever and stylish use of cinematography and animation that drew me to the series at first, but the characters made me keep watching. I find it intriguing that the dialogue is taken to the absurd at some times, hopefully to satisfy people like myself who get bored with just talking talking talking. But Bakemono tends to make dialogue scenes like action scenes in some ways.
I'm happy Nisemono is also shaping up to be brilliant as well.
As suspected about Ghost Hunt. Sounds like the manga. It was the best at the end, but even then it didn't fully impress me.
Thanks! It's an accumulation over the years, but recently I've been putting a higher priority on attempting to find my licensed DVD series...It isn't often that I do online orders, so I rely on the infrequent convention! XD I'd like to hunt for Solty Rei and ToHeart eventually.
It is very refreshing to see the anime lists of CAA users, though. It gives me a gauge of whether I'm being too hard on myself content-wise! ^^
Your list is extensive! You seem to be quite knowledgeable in different genres. That's a great quality, what with the type of anime that has been churned out in past decade years... needless fanservice...:/
Since I have finally seen Bakemonogatari, I will use it as an excuse to post on your profile since you and me don't seem to follow the same stuff too much. XD;
Overall, I'm on the fence about Bakemonogatari. I like it, but I'm not sure why. And honestly, I would like to figure out why. Thus, I've been asking individuals more clever than myself (you included, quite obviously) why they liked it or didn't like it so I can steal your reasons will be able to make friends expand my level of knowledge. :D
As a side note, how was Ghost Hunt? I read the manga, which was okay, but the first few episodes of the anime didn't seem promising. Does it improve?

It's a great thing to be able to find other Christian anime viewers! I was directed here from your signature in a thread about content in Chobits.
