I really dont understand how this anime has so high score when 90% of it there is no plot or anything, and then 10% is pure exposition through words and flashbacks. So nothing significant is happening most of the time. "Plot" is all over the place, which makes this anime so tedious to watch and then they dumped exposition for half the last episode, its ridiculous.

Couple good things:

-Music! Opening and ending are dope, didn't miss it once. Makes you wanna bump your head
-Two characters are really fun: Zapp and Blitz T. Abrams. Luckily Zapp is carrying this anime on his shoulders ... and mostly because VA did a good job with him since that character is butt of every joke.

Now as bad as this plot is in S1, i am still curious about MC's sister. Especially since i thought they were going to travel together. Whole world is there, few villains got introduced but were never touched, so i hope they expended on it in S2. I want to know more about his sister and how/why she lost her eyes/eyesight. Hopefully it's far more interesting story than the one in S1

One of the things i liked about this anime is the base plot which didn't deliver. Having a couple, which are polar opposites, trying to work together and on top of that they are from yakuza and mafia organizations. It sounds interesting but it's not.. At least not in this anime

Characters are as dense as it goes and no character development whatsoever, that stuff from episode one is repeated at the end of the show. It feels like whole anime can fit in literally 4 episodes and everything else is filler because characters are super oblivious and dense. But i gotta admit that ... most of them are interesting. Nothing major happens in the plot so i guess there's no room for development but they have fine synergy. It's something i guess...

Loved the animation though. Fine movements and cute faces make most of the scenes enjoyable, along with comedy which is at times hilarious. I liked Grand Blue for the same thing, maybe that's why.

Also, va Komatsu Mikako made a good impression in this anime. Loved her character in this

I know not many people gonna see this review but i just want to vent my frustration somewhere... This was pretty enjoyable anime, took me a day to finish it but i expected so much mooore from it! With such a great first few episodes, very immersive world, so much character building, story development, so much mystery and COMEDY! I loved all those things!

But then the middle-toward-the-end of the show came and it went downhill from there... I watch anime mainly for characters, the story comes second and this anime had so many characters that it forgot about half of them! They got lost ... somewhere in transition, no idea what happened to them ( be it good guys or villains ) and then they introduce even more characters toward the end and we get some two irrelevant characters to fight side by side with protagonist of the story. Where most of the liked characters were supposed to stand we got some half assed ones who had development over two episodes and totally forgot about ones which were with us throughout the show! It's infuriating!

Aside of that main issue of mine it was a solid watch. Comedy was nice and unexpected at the times... you might like or dislike MC depending of the episode and it's debatable because, who can relate to dying X times and coming back to life again and again and again..

My biggest regret is missed opportunity for good closure with all important characters but oh well, s2 might bring back something new to us. Aside my rant,

If anything i'll remember this anime for all the noises main characters make. But it's kinda understandable since they are kids first time in love. Seeing people you don't talk with in school outside of school is tough anyway, especially if you like them.
Typical romance story with not much comedy, a bit of drama which is focused mainly on two main characters. And that's okay, i liked it. Similar premise as "Golden Time" but i think Golden Time pulled it off better.

The worst thing about this anime is animation. They were saving budget here and there and it's ... quite noticeable. If you can overlook that, then this can be enjoyable cause it might remind you of school days when you were a kid and had a crush on someone but you were too shy to talk about it.

Overall - Ehh this one had so much potential. There was nice world building, characters had depth and animation was done right.. but it all fell apart when they rushed the ending. It feels like 12 episodes wasn't enough and it's 2020 with no sights of s2 coming any time soon. First seasons feels incomplete regardless of upcoming content.. This is one of those shows where ending ruins it because it was poorly executed 5/10

Story wasn't bad per se, but as i said 12 episodes wasn't enough, it's just too short for this type of story. MC has hidden motives, side characters have hidden ... motives, we touched on some of them but it wasn't enough. Last few episodes seem out of place.. it feels like the show had to go in different direction.. Story is done for obvious sequels because it ends with some sort of cliffhanger but oh well. We'll see what the future brings

VAs did good job overall.

Characters were the selling point for me. We meet so many different personalities (even too many for this short anime ) and each one of them has another one within themselves. Some are likable, some purposefully aren't. You'll even like characters that are portrayed as bad and hate 'good' ones because each one of them have their motives for the stuff they do. I really wish there were more episodes where we learn about them and why they do things but i guess it was meant for sequels and new seasons.

Watch this anime only if there's literally nothing else to watch. It took me longer than i'd like to admit to finish 12 20 minutes episodes..

It's super boring, where animation is okay only at certain moments and it's mostly horrible ( i really don't understand why would they animate characters running / walking from behind when it's so badly done. It gives 1980s vibe ).

Main characters are horrible, super bland. Only one thing is in their mind for 12 episodes and there's no development whatsoever. Supporting characters are better, with much more development than main ones. You'll probably enjoy side stories more than the main ... story because it's super boring just because characters are one dimensional.

Nothing much to say about this one, better skip it or watch grass grow....3/10
