I'm just a fan of story and character. I enjoy a good story, and I love me some antiheroes and other complex characters, especially ones that go through growth and other development. I like shounen titles, and some shoujo, but I'm open to other stuff. After a couple years of watching anime and looking at what comes out each season, though, I've become more mindful about what I choose to watch- in addition to moe comedies, I'm trying to avoid the dime-a-dozen shounens (particularly harems), and reverse-harem shoujos featuring weak female leads; I've had my fill of such stories. Other than that, I like to dabble in drama, adventure, action, and romance stories (occasionally Slice of Life if it seems interesting).

Rating System:
My rating system takes into consideration mostly story elements- how original/generic it is, how well it was executed, if there were unexpected developments or if it was predictable (the same goes to the characters), and the pacing of the story; my rating also considers how enjoyable/entertaining those elements made the experience overall.

1-Horrible. "One of the worst." Should be avoided; I'd fail to understand what kind of person would like a title with this rating.

2-Very Bad.

3-Bad.

4-Kinda Bad. No attachment value; unfunny.

5-Eh. Very underwhelming. Not worth the time.

6-Okay. Nothing special.

7- Decent. It's entertaining enough to hold you for the duration. If a title is good enough, this is my starting rating, prone to change if the story disappoints or exceeds expectation. (I purposely choose anime based on if the story would earn at least this rating, along with how realistic the art style is (I want to be able to take a story seriously).)

8-Very Good. Titles that have earned this or higher are ones I'd suggest to others.

9-Really Good. This rating can be earned if the story sucks you right into the world and makes you feel various emotions and attachments. These are what I would recommend, and what I'd be more than happy to discuss with other fans.

10-Amazing. "One of the best". If I were to imagine such a rating, it might be a story that changes your outlook on aspects of life to make you a better person. The title would have to be an original story concept, with unique, likable characters.
