Takemoto too good and don't need a romance or a woman to complete his GOAT arc :gglife
Deskmoto wanting to confess to kana-chan was one of the highlights of the season for me. I need more deskmoto and porky focus tbh :woahdere
:mahnigga 3gatsu still not getting the S3 announcement tho. I will keep bitching about this until it happens :tiredpepe
>even takemoto was more smooth than that
:wow takemoto deserves the world. best boi
>he deserves better than Chihaya.
DUDE THIS CROSSED MY MIND SO MANY TIMES DURING THIS SEASON. but it felt almost taboo to say it lmao. But yes, I wholeheartedly agree taichi deserves better. IDK if it will be sumire though. I think Sumire was great this season and should use this opportunity to grow into her own person, independent of her issues with love and beauty.
Yup, Shinobu was really broken down this season and I loved seeing her still stay strong. Fuck her grandma.
I loved seeing through Haruka and Harada sensei there was a lot of focus on that theme of getting old but still being in love with Karuta. Seeing Harada try his best reminded me of the GOAT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C61G3aG3Pbk
but yeh, I guess I'll rant a bit about this season and hit you with a TL;DR. As I said, it was really damn spicy. Not just the matches but also the characterization developments. I feel like we got more negatives regarding chihaya and taichi, and a lot more positives regarding Arata which really made me like him a lot more compared to before. Not to say the negatives are bad though because they really help keep the story interesting.
For one with chihaya herself, this season really solidified her as a karuta nutcase who really likes Arata. However, she remained very insensitive to Taichi and on more than one occasion it seemed she looks down on his karuta, and lost any understanding of him which of course resulted in the end scene we saw. On a simliar note, Taichi let that shit eat up him and kept moving on his own without opening up. He was so held up with his inferiority complex and really struggled. It had to take Sumire, the girl who confessed to him, to get him to confess... only for things to end up in shambles. This season really highlighted how awkward and dumb Taichi and Chihaya can be. But we love them anyways and don't want to see them suffer like this. :gglife At least the end of this season finally got everything out into the air and we'll hopefully get to see great development from them next time. My opinion on how things ended with Taichi leaving is that it was the right choice for him. It became quite apparent that Taichi is really affected by being around Chihaya and it will be interesting to see how he grows as a person and as a player under Suo.
And then there was Arata. I think a lot of people can agree with me when I say I never really cared much for Arata during season 1 and 2. He was just kinda there with his sad backstory? But season 3 really gave us more of his feelings and insight. Then there was his absolute CHAD confession and blatant character development by the end where he was working on making his own team. He even had a great moment telling Suo not to retire yet cuz he'll beat him.
Great season as usual. I hope we can see more team battles next time.
Have fun :catflowa
