Ok, yeah.. your hate is pretty valid. Personally I love the manga (reading it right now), but the anime is a mediocre adaptation.

Dude, you literally stopped at the changing point of Kiseiju series, episode 7 is where changes start to gradually happen and starting from episode 8 you can say goodbye to crybaby MC, he does not exist any more.
