Im a 31 year old, who has been in the US Army for 12 years, I love to watch anime as an escape of some of this worlds crazy times. Im mainly in to anime that is either military, mecha, romance and fantasy. There is just something about being in a giant robot that just seems cool and wish i could be in a military project that does that. Currently right now my fav is Re Zero. I cant get enough of it and I wish that Rem + Sub get totally together but knowing it will never happen kills me inside lol But Rem got my vote for best. That sums pretty much me.

I noticed that you finished the anime Rescue Wings. While I am unsure that the JSDF wears their covers and salute indoors though, I thought it did a much better job at depicting aspects of the military lifestyle than most other anime.

So far enjoying watching anime again. i guys you never get too old to watch them and im really glad i found this site. gives me good ways to search and see reviews and recommendations. so this soldier is one happy camper thats forsure
