Due to general anime burnout (been watching nearly nothing but it for 5 years straight) and getting through my video game backlog, I'm not on here as much. If you wanna keep up, follow me on Twitter at @PriMas99. I'll still pop up from time to time. Once my gaming backlog is cleared out, I can get back to my anime backlog. Oh joyous day. Until then, see you around :D

About Me
First exposure to anime was in manga form. Mostly OG Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ back when Shonen manga was taking off over here. Got into anime back when Toonami was revived. Nothing concrete aside from 4Kids shows back when I was a kid. I was mostly (and still am) into video games. Entering my teens, the shows on there struck a chord with me that hums to this day. Animation in general is something I admire very much. Favorite game franchises include Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts.
I'm a sucker for anything with an adventurous tone. That Ghibli Castle in the Sky type of adventure that seems larger than life; it just fills me with so much wonder. I'm also game anything with giant mechs; good robot action can pull me through anything. Drama's are good too so long as it doesn't become heavy handed or the main crux is stupid. Strong sense of dramatics and tragedy are also a plus. Action in general is pretty much a go to for me as well. Sci-fi and Fantasy seem to be my favorite genres; I don't seek them out, but they keep finding me in some way or form. I'm aiming to diversify what I watch, though. More down to earth shows, maybe straight-on romances or even SoL show.
It's difficult to describe in one term what makes an anime "good" for me. I tend to value writing of both characters and the plot above most everything else. Sounds simple and maybe a tad pretentious, but it's how I feel. The characters in any show need to be engaging to watch and likeable if I'm gonna enjoy it. Even if they're stereotypes, they can be executed well enough that I don't care. I love a well spun yarn that can pull me in and take me for a ride. Tales with twists and turns and powerful dramatics make everything so much better. A story can be the tightest, most amazing thing ever, but without good characters it'll amount to diddly squat. The reverse is also true, if you have a great cast but no worthwhile story, it can suffer. Also of note is the thematic content of a show. The ideas it presents and the way they tackle it can be a major part of my enjoyment. Especially if they tie in with the characters and their arcs.
As for language, I don't have a preference. A lot of my early favorites I watched dubbed, and I tend to aim for them if they have a good reputation. Still, subs are excellent as well (they have to be, right?) In the end it depends on the show, I guess.
Additionally, my Plan to Watch list will only have anime yet to be released in them, and I plan to keep it as small as possible. This is mostly due to me not wanting to clog up my overall list with too many shows that I may take years to watch. Also, whenever I plan to watch something, I never get around to it, which kind of defeats the purpose of a plan to watch list.

How I Rate Shows
10/10 - The absolute pinnacle. Seriously, nothing gets better than these for me. They may not be 100% perfect, but I don't care. I way too biased towards them. Finishing one of these leaves a void and has me existentially wonder if I'll ever see something this good again. These are the sort of shows that shape who I am and why I love anime.
9/10 - Just inches away from perfection. These are common than 10's but still hard to find. Phenomenal in nearly every way, with only a handful of issues. It's honestly kind of hard to decide on what makes a 9 vs a 10, but I do what I can. Depends on some stuff, but these are still amazing. You should go watch these. Like, right now. Stop reading and watch them on KissAnime. Don't give me that look; we all use it.
8/10 - Really, really damn good. Seriously, these are some damn fine shows. They do so much right and have so much goodwill backing them. Anytime I find a show like this, I'm happy. It makes me realize "Hey, these Taiwanese animations are still good after all!" May not be 9's or 10's but are still high tier in terms of quality. They get my affection all the same. Go watch 'em. You won't regret it.
7/10 - These are good. Nice, simple, fun shows. Maybe they're fun popcorn watches. Or maybe just really comfy shows. Depends, but I like 'em all the same. The problems they have aren't even that bad. They don't make me regret watching them, tbh. They're just a fun time. And not in the "turn your brain off" kind of way, too. Legitimate good times to be had
6/10 - Yup. These are pretty decent. These shows have some neat ideas, do some things really well, and I respect them for their efforts. But they also have some problems, just not enough to be any worse. You certainly can watch them, as they are at the end of the day fair products. Not good enough to be a 7, but still a solid and, at best, fun time. They've got my approval. Check 'em out.
5/10 - Meh. These are...anime, I guess. Look, these do some things good, but other things not so...good. I'm usually left not hating these too much, but also not liking them too much either. They certainly have things worth checking out, but are just so...meh. They're the anime equivalent of the new Star Wars movies: you'll watch it, be indifferent towards it, and then forget about it in a week. very cool
4/10 - A bad show. Just bad. Not good at all. There may be stuff I like in them, but it's not enough. I guess they're not total trainwrecks, but they're not really recommendable. Maybe they're boring, or just plain stupid, or both. Who knows. Will there be something there for you? I don't know. Try one if you want I guess...
3/10 - It's the little things that separate these sort of shows from a 4. They're pretty darn bad and nowhere near as good as nearly anything else. Some are the sort of bad that leave your mind after you watch them. Others just flummox you with how bad they are. There's some ironic enjoyment to be found, and even some stuff you wish were in better shows. Enjoyment can be had in rare cases, but these should be watched with much trepidation.
2/10 - WHAT THE, WHAT ARE THESE??!?! DAMN GHOSTS?!?!?! If your show is rated here, Conglaturation: it's shit! Like, holy shit these are god awful. But not always so. There's still something of value to be found; be it bread shotguns or hilarious melodrama or whatever the fuck Garzey's Wing was. Some of these I'd actually recommend watching for a laugh. It all depends. But for the most part, avoid them at all cost.
1/10 - These shows hurt. Just complete and utter worthlessness. What separates these from a 2 is that these shows actually pissed me off. I felt insulted that my time was wasted on them. I could've done anything else, but NOPE: I watched these. Avoid them, don't talk about them, just don't do anything with them. That's it. I'm done. Gonna rewatch Castle in the Sky now.
Hey Prideful! Sorry for the super late reply, got busy with life stuff and lost track of things on here, I haven't watched any anime since i last replied to you haha.
The anime I wanted to recommend was Naruto. Yes it's long, but if you skip all the filler it shortens quite significantly. The character development is as deep as Eureka Seven and it does not disappoint on the soundtrack what so ever. The fight scenes are some of the best in anime history and the story is rich with substance. I would say we have similar tastes when it comes to anime, for the most part lol. Since completing Eureka Seven the only thing I have come to like more than it has been Naruto.
Writing this has brought my weeb euphoria back 😂 I think it's time I finish CowBoy Bebop!
Yes it has, life got in the way of anime haha, I'm doing great thanks. WOW! I had no idea they were bringing Bleach back, gonna look into that, super excited! In regards to Eureka 7, I've only seen the first movie I have some catching up to do. Been playing a lot of Roblox with friends lately so I'm trying to balance that with my anime watching. There are so many anime I've gotta catch up on including RahXephon, going to have to start that one from the beginning, I've forgotten the whole plot LOL!
I might have to agree about Tsukasa, he was just so damn interesting and it made me think about all the other great characters out there that no one really knows just because their shows don't get popular enough. (Of course, I try to hit a good mix of popular and obscure myself, but things will always slip through the net.) I didn't know about the sequel manga at all but that's awesome to hear. I don't have high hopes of it getting translated directly so I guess an anime adaptation will be the only way to experience the story.
I was going to message about Pet earlier in the season, about it being surprisingly good and sadly underwatched. I forgot to do that lol, but happy to see you apparently felt the same.

Yea it looks really cool, can't wait for it to come out!
Mind if I recommend an anime for you?
Thanks and yes those 2 are New Order.
I wouldn't say it was entirely Bones fault, it seems the movie that was in the making was better at least lol.
If you still had doubts about how horrible Hero Academia became.
