I have actually read the entire novel even tho the translation after volume 6 was abysmal. I still loved how intricate the story's politics, military warfare and world is. I honestly put it right together with some of my favourite sci fi novels as for the anime, I just stopped watching till 40. Now I'm gonna re-watch all the movies and start with it again cause I loved the novels. It is truly one of the best stories even the novel was emotionally touching

40% share thats pretty good! Also love Kaiji. Come here since MAL post. Viewing your scores, i mean if u put a 7 to an anime and I put an 8, who cares, different opinion but we both acknowledge that the series is good at least.
To discuss in a good manner with you:
I would say that is difficult to support the idea that all AOT SNKyojin seasons are the same. Oh i shut up i see that u put Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 2 on a different score. I need to do a rewatch on AOT cause i watched meanwhile it was airing up and i felt so disconnected between the last seasons (waiting for them) and the first ones.

Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa is very good parody of Kaiji. Its totally different but worth to watch.
Gasaraki: This is wild recommendation you may dont like it.
Kemono no Souja Erin: Kinda slice of life with some politics at the end.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu + Samurai Shamploo: This is a must watch.
Terra e... (TV): Sci-Fi original plot.
Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 if u miss LOGH this can be useful.

I had genuinely completely forgotten about Beltorchika when I was writing the review which goes to show how much of an impact that subplot had on me. The extent to which the female characters are badly written and badly treated by the plot only gets worse in the back half, so you've got that to look forward to. One of them gets an arc which I think is the absolute nadir of the whole series because it's so weird and misconceived. Obviously a lot of the male characters also act very oddly, but I really think the women get it worse.

One piece just ain't for me

She is genuinely the weak link in the story, But makie and anotsu are amazing characters and all those itto ryu members are iconic too, they will remind you of Juppongatana but more edgy obviously, I like both the factions they genuinely have great story to back their character, it might not be as obvious like giving direct backstories, cause seinen manga doesn't apparently follow the backstory thing and all but they will still grow on you as the story progresses, u might even root for them at one point, I honestly did not care about Rin, at first I thought she could have been a fine character but nah she gets her moments but not that much, also just wait for the character named Habaki Kagimura. He is genuinely a terrifying antagonist u will probably like it if u like Rurouni Kenshin

Have you tried basilisk, I can understand why u don't like Shigurui, Shigurui is not for all, but Botl is still great, it gets even more crazy ahead were you dropped, Manji got that Denji treatment (if u have read the latest CSM chapter u will get what I'm saying)
