lmao. you call throwing away the plot "intellectual". though the reactions afterwards in the mech fights in evangelion are deep since they explore the emotions after the event and their change in personality, the final two parts feel unrelated to the story we've been following and have no significance whatsoever. there's no point in them existing and it leaves the series incomplete as it tries to define everything in a deeper pretentious light. also havent watched RahXephon yet but just because there's a love triangle, doesn't mean its harem trash. romance makes a story more interesting but having it doesn't degrade the product at all unless it is handled wrongly. but you are correct in both animes seem to explore the topic of depression and despair.
I just wanted to say that I thought your comment conserning rahxephon in your recommendation was offensive to the (many) rahxaphon fans who thought it was better, (like me). Honestly I thought Evangelion had an incomplete and cheap ending. Many tell me I just don't understand the complexity of the ending, but I believe it was unclear and and frankly made too many questions. IN any case I respect your opinion on which is better BUT I don't think it's right to say I would have superficial taste, (like a child).
hmm.. i notice you've given all of your reviewed animes a perfect 10.. makes me wonder if they're all that you'd crack them up to be.. but hey-it's a good thing to be easy to please.. if you liked wolf's rain or neon genesis then maybe you'd like some of my favorites.. check out my list if you feel like it=]
