Hello there!
I’m just your average late-20s dude from Greece who’s into anime. Nothing flashy, nothing wild. Honestly, I might be more boring than you'd expect.
When I’m not watching anime or reading manga, I keep things pretty low-key: strolling around, working, drinking coffee, taking pictures with my camera, gaming, geeking out over astronomy, listening to music, wasting my time and money on gacha games, and hanging out with friends and family. You know, the simple pleasures in life.
I used to have one of those big flashy profiles full of aesthetic gifs, colors, fonts, and wallpapers. Not to brag, but it was quite impressive. It was fun while it lasted, but after all these years, I got bored of it. Why did I delete it? Let’s just say I lost interest, and that’s all you need to know. For now, it’s a plain layout, nothing too fancy. One day I’ll bring back a more spectacular look, but right now, I’m going with a "less bling, more chill" vibe. When will I do it? No idea. Could be tomorrow, in a week, in a month, or sometime in the next decade.
I know it’s not much, but for the time being, you’ll have to settle for this simple and boring version.
As for my rating system, I used to have this whole complicated and overly detailed explanation, but honestly, simpler is better. It was unnecessarily long, especially since I mostly go with my gut anyway. So here’s a more straightforward, concise overview:
10 & 9: My favorites. The crème de la crème of my journey through the medium, especially the 10s. These are the top-tier stuff. Can't get any better than this. They’re undeniably memorable and leave a lasting impression. 8: Very solid titles that I absolutely enjoyed, with maybe just a little something stopping them from being perfect. Still highly recommended. Some of them are almost favorites. 7 & 6: Good, solid experiences. Nothing too groundbreaking, but definitely enjoyable. They might have a few flaws, or maybe they didn’t do enough to be particularly memorable. 5: Meh, right in the middle. Not bad, but not great either. Just kind of... whatever. Neutral territory. I enjoyed a few moments here and there, but other than that, it's a forgettable title that I probably forced myself to finish. 4: Disappointing. These might have started with potential but didn’t really deliver. Just felt underwhelming overall. While there are a few things I could give them credit for, these titles just didn’t manage to hold my attention. 3: Bad, but not in a damaging way. Whether it’s the unintentional humor or just how ridiculous it is, they’re bad but still kinda fun. Sometimes things are so bad they’re actually entertaining (somehow). 2 & 1: Horrendous. Avoid these if you can. Like, seriously, don’t waste your time. They're just not worth it.
I enjoy chatting with fellow fans and making new connections, so feel free to reach out if you want to talk. That said, I'm not the best at replying promptly, so please be patient. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Also, I don't accept random friend requests. I'd appreciate having a conversation first. There’s no reason to add me if you don’t plan on talking, as it defeats the purpose of connecting.
Το The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes δεν το γνώριζα πριν το αναφέρεις αλλά το πρόσθεσα στα PTW μου και θα σου πω γνώμη όταν το δω.
Βλέπεις τίποτα ενδιαφέρον αυτή την περίοδο που το προτείνεις;
Sorry for an extremely late response I haven't been able to get to my comptuter lately, but thank you! It was my first review so hopefully it wasn't written too poorly lol.
Yeah, sometimes it's better if you watch it before the hype. For example, I was interested in Sousou no Frieren from the start so I started watching right after ep 1 was released. Maybe I wouldn't have checked it out if I waited a bit longer because of high expectations.
Ah that really sucks! It actually happend to me too when I wrote my reviews here. Most of those comments were pretty funny though, stuff like "you gave Monogatari a 5 and MHA a 7?? you definitely have trash taste" and things like that xD Hope your experience wasn't too bad though.
Oh, I see. Well, I really hope he can get to actually finish the manga but maybe that's just wishful thinking at this point :') Or have someone else continue it when he is still alive would be nice too.
Haha there really is no secret xD I only watch seasonals at night when I want to relax, so watching 2-3 eps is easy! And it's not like I have to watch everyday, some days there aren't any seasonals and in some others there are like 3 or 4. So I chose how many eps I want to watch in a day. But only watching a few shows is okay too, maybe you don't like to focus on too many at once. For me though, it works better this way because I'm a mood watcher/reader, so I have to frequently change what I watch or read ^^;
It's pretty long, so rewatching it might be difficult haha. Btw are your favourites ordered or they're just random?
Ohh what are those? I'm asking because I have a few popular series that make me annoyed too xD
Tbh I've already dropped 2 of them lol. Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita, as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too, because the first ep kinda bored me. It looks great but sadly it feels kind of cliche so far. As for what I'm actually watching:
Atri: My Dear Moments (haven't seen a VN adaptation in a while!)
Shoushimin Series (same author as Hyouka so of course I had to check this out! they dedicated a whole episode to hot cocoa and it was so fun, I love slow paced anime like this one. probably my favourite this season!)
Oshi no Ko 2nd season (so far it's more fun to watch than the first season, the way they talk about adaptations in general here is interesting)
Isekai Suicide Squad (this is so ridiculous and stupid, it's actually fun haha)
Make Heroine ga Oosugiru (not what I expected but it looks beautiful, sadly ep 2 was such a disappointment. it definitely lowered my expectations now)
Nier Automata season 2 (as I haven't played the game, I'm enjoying this so far)
Aside from these, I'm also watching Spice and Wolf remake from last season, The Raven does not choose its Master, along with Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction and MHA season 7. My favourite is probably The Raven does not choose its Master so far, but we'll see how things change as the summer seasonals are getting more eps! Well, I talked a lot about this xD
I've told Gooseflower this too, but slow replies kind of feel like writing letters haha. So that actually has its own charm as well!
Ohh feel free to share! I actually know quite a few of the characters already because it's almost impossible not to see One Piece content on the internet xD So yeah, I have no problem with that!
Thank you! They are from one of my favourite manga, Witch Hat Atelier. The one in my profile pic is Riche and the other two are Coco and Agott. Not sure if you've heard of it, but it's really good so far. And it's getting an anime adaptation too next year! It looks gorgeous haha. I totally recommend it if you love fantasy, magic and great worldbuilding.
Hello, Pokkitaru! How are you doing? ^^ I hope you're settled back into your new/old life without any problems at this point.
My training is divided between four segments of college lessons and four internships, and is altogether due to end in late 2026. Now that I'm doing my first internship after the first segment at college, I've been thrown headlong into work life as a deskjockey! I work at a neighbouring district office, and for this internship I'm deployed in housekeeping, so we allocate posts and provide organizational support for the whole office. I am quite grateful that I have reached this point and that I get along with my older colleagues - not something I should take for granted. It has also forced me to fix my weekly schedule, as my previous schedule was something between a mess and nonexistent. I think I'm overall getting better at leading a more balanced and fruitful life c:
As I suspected, I am able to watch more anime now that I live back at home, though not by a lot ^^" I've only watched the first episode for most of these.
Sorry I can't comment on most of these, they didn't really catch my interest. Though it is interesting that Bartender got a remake almost 20 years after the old adaptation, and once again it's only one cour despite the manga having 167 chapters ...
As for Spice and Wolf, I've watched the first episode. I did watch the first anime two years ago, which, if I remember correctly, rewrote some parts and skipped one volume, but apart from that was a faithful adaptation. Anyway, I liked the first episode and I'm happy that I have these characters back! Though I have to say I liked the old series better aesthetically - the glossy, modern look doesn't really suit the series in my opinion. Getting the old opening back would have been a treat, though I guess you can't have everything. The ending is cute. I've heard some light-novel-readers say that they actually liked the old anime better, particularly in how it presented Holo as a witty foil for Kraft Lawrence, whereas in the books she was apparently more waifuish. All in all, I'm cautiously optimistic about the new Spice and Wolf! :)
I added A Condition Called Love since I'm a shoujo fanboy, but so far I'm not very impressed with it. What intrigues me about it is the discrepancy in score between the manga and anime. Let's just see how it turns out!
Yatagarasu is a last-minute add, since it seems to be a bit of a sleeper hit. I've seen it praised highly by the people who did watch it, despite their number being very few. So far it seems to be a court drama in a Heian-esque fantasy setting. Its pace is slow, but I liked the first episode.
My secret favourite is Train to the End of the World, which I was immediately intrigued by. It has a veteran staff behind it and seems to be one of the more ambitious projects original anime have seen in the last few seasons. The setting and presentation of the series are really hard to explain though, so it would probably be best if you watched it for yourself. Judging just from the first episode, I would definitely recommend it!
The last one I want to watch is Ooi! Tonbo. I don't know what it is about sports anime, but I find myself drawn to them often, but what particularly intrigues me about this one is that the only other credits of the mangaka are some OVAs from the 80s and 90s. The art-style itself is a blast from the past, and I must say, I think it blends well with the crispy animation of today. I'm also very happy that it's going to continue in winter!
For summer I've picked seven shows, and I hope it's not too much for me to swallow ^^"
It seems summer is saturated with rom-coms: I've picked out Roshidere, Giji Harem and Too Many Losing Heroines. Judging from the trailers, the last one seems the most promising, as I think it might master both comedy and drama very well. I like Giji Harem's concept, so I hope it lives up to it. And I threw in Roshidere for the giggles. The only other Russian I know from anime is the Brothers song from Fullmetal Alchemist lol.
We're not getting many visual novel adaptations these days, so I'm happy to see Atri: My Dear Moments. I'm also looking forward to it because it should be very much in season!
The Elusive Samurai comes from the author of Assassination Classroom, which I haven't seen. I like historical shows, so I hope it's good!
I hope P.A. Works aren't overworking themselves! I haven't seen a cheerleading anime yet, so I'm looking forward to their new entry Na Nare Hana Nare!
And last but not least, the one I'm looking forward to most is the Shoushimin series. While I don't think it's 100 % impossible for Hyouka to get a second season, it's impossible now, so I hope the Shoushimin series sates that hunger for a while ^^" I like that even though it has a platonic male-female lead dynamic and deals with mysteries, it doesn't seem to be a Koten-bu 2.0, but instead more like a spiritual successor.
What are your plans for summer? :3

Frieren is already a favourite of mine after only one season. Good fantasy anime is sorely needed in this day and age ^^" One of the great things about it, in my opinions, is that you don't know where the story is going, and it always surprises you in a good way. I'm glad you liked it too! I'm curious to see where the story leads after this point. The good thing about going on a journey in a world like this is that there are endless possibilities where we could go next!
Apothecary Diaries was in some ways an even more enjoyable watch, because it's a great drama. It also nails several other aspects: the setting is fleshed out and feels realistic, the characters are many-layered and very endearing, and the medicinal aspect is also very well researched. I think it's shaping up to become a favourite of mine as well. I'm very happy we're getting a second season so soon! I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Jujutsu Kaisen is a great show to watch so far. I'm halfway through the first season and I like the conflicts we get into and themes we explore. I also find the characters extremely likable, which isn't something I can say about other battle-shounen very much.
A Sign of Affection has great ... worldbuilding? The way it presents the main characters' worlds as very distinct but complementary is something that I wasn't expecting, but I think they did a very good job with it. Apart from that ... opening was meh, ending was great, and I didn't like how the boys were drawn lol. I hope we get a second season!
I watched Mushishi spread out across several months in 2021, and yes, it was a very rewarding experience. Please don't apologize, you described it perfectly in that long paragraph. Anything I added would just be forced purple prose ^^" Since it's episodic, I only remember snippets, but in Mushishi's case I don't think that matters, since it's more about the experience itself as you watch it. What I appreciated about it is the variety of emotions that it makes you feel: dread, relief, warmth, even disgust. As for your scores, it's interesting that you settled on an 8 for the first season and two 9s for the two parts of the second season, because it's exactly the other way round for me. I guess I found the first season to be a more complete experience overall. I also think it would be worth a rewatch someday!
I like 80s and early 2000s cartoons, fantasy movies and shows, the dark crystal, willow, the never-ending story, clash of the Titans; code lyoko, W.i.t.c.h, winx Club, Huntik seekers and secrets, Ben 10, Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel etc How about you?
I'm most disappointed with seasonals or shows that aren't what I expected them to be. It's also part of the reason why I avoid super popular shows sometimes (like AoT). Oh, but I agree it's better if a show is bad from the start xD At least you might have fun if it's stupid enough loll
Does that link contain spoilers? I haven't read the manga yet, so I'm trying to avoid knowing the possible endings for now ^^;
Hmm, you've got an interesting point. I kind of agree, because I usually watch 10-12 shows each season and not even half of them get at least a 7/10... it depends, I guess. Maybe you can predict a lot of things too? After seeing so many shows, it's easy to notice a patern haha. Although there is always at least one anime I'm really looking forward to watching each season :D
Btw what are you gonna watch from the summer season?
FMAB was amazing!! All the characters were likeable and the story was quite emotional. I can definitely see why so many people love it. I plan to watch the older adaptation too, even though I heard it doesn't follow the manga.
Yeah, it's not like I won't complain about bad shows when I see them, but arguing with people and saying they have "trash taste" is pointless xD Not to mention tiring. And there's also the case where I dislike some of the critically acclaimed shows haha.
It's alright, sometimes it takes me longer than that (as you can see haha). So I apologize for these super late replies in advance! I'm usually very patient, so no worries. I don't mind continuing our convo whenever we have time.
I might start with the new adaptation too, who knows. Did you have a favourite character? As I've mentioned, I think I'll really like Luffy but the whole crew seems awesome haha.
Your very welcome!! I think you'll enjoy it! Honestly, I'm not sure, but i believe I was reading reviews on Romeo's blue skies and clicked on someone's profile and then it led to yours, and I gave you a friend request because I saw you had it in your favorites ^_^.
edit: Actually I think i read your review that how I found ur profile I just went back and i think that's how.
