Honestly, I might be more boring than you'd expect. It was fun while it lasted, but after all these years, I got bored of it. Why did I delete it? Let’s just say I lost interest, and that’s all you need to know. For now, it’s a plain layout, nothing too fancy. One day I’ll bring back a more spectacular look, but right now, I’m going with a "less bling, more chill" vibe. When will I do it? No idea. Could be tomorrow, in a week, in a month, or sometime in the next decade. I know it’s not much, but for the time being, you’ll have to settle for this simple and boring version. As for my rating system, I used to have this whole complicated and overly detailed explanation, but honestly, simpler is better. It was unnecessarily long, especially since I mostly go with my gut anyway. Yeah, but sometimes you just need a break from a certain medium in order to gain motivation again haha. I still think I'm going to keep up with seasonals for a long time because it's fun. Oh, I'm not a big gamer so I usually just watch or read stuff (mostly anime and books/manga). Sometimes I do like to play some fighting games with my brother though, it's pretty fun! What games do you like?
Omg so I'm not the only one who thinks this xD Well, he is not the first person to do this sadly. People really like to prove they're "superior" for seeing flaws in your favourite anime here on Mal. The funny part is that I really get along with Fotsuan, despite this annoying side of him lol. We are pretty chill now! But I'm also a huge Gintama fan, and of course he wouldn't like the movie that much if he isn't a fan, no? I really hope he knows that no matter what he says, you or any other person won't change their opinion of a favourite show just like that. It's not possible.
Ahh a lot of people on here need to learn that xD When Oshi no Ko's first season was airing, a friend and I decided to write reviews for it and omg the fans went crazy! My friend was "lucky" to have his review become super popular, so he got a lot more hate than I did. You can probably imagine how many people left comments saying we didn't understand the show haha.
From what we've talked so far, you seem to be pretty respectful, not that we've disagreed much but still. So where does someone find the energy to argue like that, I genuinely don't know xD
Oh, it was Pretty Devil! I always like to listen to the stuff my friends have in their bio. On the other hand, Brave New World isn't my thing, though I love some parts of it! And the video is really nice too.
Maybe I'm biased, but Psycho Pass's OP is just too good not to be in my top 5 at least haha.

Blue Box: Ahh I really want Hina to be endgame ngl! Chinatsu is cool too, but she doesn't have any chemistry with our MC ^^;
Blue Lock: I agree, there are so many interesting characters! Bachira is also among my top 5 fav characters! Aryu is cool too, of course xD I'm not a fan of Rin (not yet, at least) but who knows. Do you read the manga too?
Orb: It's just soo good! Ep 14 proved once again that I can never guess where the story is going. So sad though >.<

There was a time when I only watched Naruto, so I can relate xD Though it was during my first year of highschool. I don't know how I did it tbh, like how can you watch one show all year? The current me could never lol. But hopefully Hyouka will still be special for you after a rewatch!
As a huge HxH fan, it's really painful to say this but you're probably right. That's why I didn't start the manga yet, because by the time a new chapter's out I might've forgotten what happend. But hey, Togashi might really finish it, who knows! I wouldn't mind it if he let someone else continue it if he doesn't feel like it. I suppose his art is not that great either? :')
Yes, you get it! Tbh some people seem to miss the point of PPTA entirely. Or they just hate the animation (which is crazy because it looks incredible imo!), but that's why I'm not sure if I should mention Ping Pong when I talk about sports anime haha. It's waay more than that. But yeah, Fotsuan is not very understanding when it comes to the shows he dislikes ^^; I've had a few arguments with him before. Well, I call them arguments, but it was more like him telling me how much he hates some of my favourite anime xD Even so, we always got along pretty well! If Fotsuan is reading this, hopefully he won't mind ahaha.
You have some great taste then! Ergo Proxy's opening is one of my favourites as well! I think the ending song was pretty fitting too. Oh, Ergo Proxy is one of those shows that Fotsuan hates xD But anyways, I hope you enjoy it! It has an open ending and relies on symbolism a lot, in other words, it's not spoon feeding the viewer at all. Which is totally understandable why a new anime watcher wouldn't like it haha.
Like, I get that they want to be always right or that they want their favourite story to be the very best, but that's just not possible. Everything is subjective after all. Well, I liked Angels of Death when I first watched it, sure. But now? Hell no!! I've recently rewatched it and yeah... it's pretty edgy :))) I still love the opening/ending though!

As for my favourite openings, uhh, that's a very hard question haha. I love all the ones I have in my bio, but if I were to pick, let's say, three of them... HxH (1999) OP 2, Serial Experiments Lain OP and Psycho Psycho OP 2. But I could easily add more tbh, like there are so many good openings 😅 And my favourites are different everyday.

Blue Box: ohh I definitely agree with this being basically a shoujo xD the MC is the problem for me, because I don't like him much lol. It also doesn't help that I'm team Hina haha. But I'll keep watching until the end!
Dandadan: Yeah, like you said, this is pretty enjoyable but the story is not that special. I could even say I heavily dislike some parts (like that one scene from ep 1...). Only episode 7 was actually good and emotional. But I would probably watch a sequel if I don't watch that many seasonals during that time.
Blue Lock: The thing is, while I totally believe the animation is not doing justice to the story this time, I'm also pretty biased since this is my favourite arc and I enjoy it no matter what haha. I'm having the time of my life even with such a lacking animation lol. You have my respect for not caring about it though :3 And my fav is Nagi btw! I looove lazy/chill characters like him haha. What about you?
Orb: I also forget the most important shows sometimes lol. Funnily enough, it could also be my second seasonal that might enter my favourites (first being Sousou no Frieren), as I'm a huge fan of historical/philosophical anime too. But it being about astronomy? That's the cherry on top! And the twists are great too, they totally fooled me with Rafal at first. I really didn't expect him to die. But I like the new characters just as much. Even Novak, he is such a great antagonist, no kidding.
Rurouni Kenshin remake: This remake is pretty good, I enjoyed the first season too! Though fans of the old version complained about the music since it's not fitting for the show, apparently. I haven't seen the old anime so nothing bothers me. Kenshin definitely has a bit of a plot armor though ^^;
Tbh I wanted to start reading the novels for Anne of Green Gables, but guess I'm watching the remake first lol. But yeah, it would be pretty cool if you'd find a new favourite! The feeling of finding one is incredible haha.
I definitely prefer Ergo Proxy more, but Texhnolyze has a lot to offer as well. It is also more depressing than Ergo Proxy, even though I don't think the ending is as depressing as everyone says it is. It depends on your perspective, I guess. But yeah, just don't expect everyone to live ^^;
Oh, did you drop the first season? I'm definitely planning on continuing it since it's pretty enjoyable. But not right now because I need to watch what my Santa recommends me first haha. Did you participate in the secret santa event btw?
Me too, I'm already thinking it might be AOTY if the adaptation is good enough haha. Yeah, isekai stories are everywhere these days. It's funny how non-anime fans find isekai refreshing while otakus are simply done with it xD
Oh, seems like you made a wise decision after all haha. I still enjoyed season 4 and from season 5 it started going downhill a bit, but season 6 was just awful. Villains are winning because of plot armor and they've spent 20+ episodes fighting, but the bad guys are still getting stronger. Like come on! It's just annoying at this point.
Ohh I'm really excited to watch Hyouka and knowing it stuck with you this long is a good sign! It would've been nice if I watched such memorable shows back then too, but I was only keeping up with Naruto Shippuden at the time haha.
To me, HxH 1999 is only below the 2011 version because it didn't adapt the best arc aka Chimera Ant. Yorknew City arc is an absolute masterpiece in the old one. I love how it's not as flashy as the 2011 version and yet, it seems even more meaningful. I love both versions though, what can I say haha. At this point I think I'll enjoy HxH in any format xD

I'm glad you enjoyed Ping Pong! It might not be everyone's cup of tea *cough*Fotsuan*cough* but those who want to appreciate it can definitely get a lot out of it. It's obviously one of my favourite sports anime of all time, even though it's not as much about the sport itself as it is about the characters and their growth imo. Did you have a favourite character?

I try not to take things personally, even if someone criticizes a show I like. And hating people who love a show you absolutely disliked is pointless, no? I find it funny when you love a certain anime and then someone comes to point out its flaws, as if that can make you change your mind just like that xD Omg I really liked Angels of Death when I watched it haha. But I've recently rewatched it with a friend and it's way too edgy for me now lol. For me Anohana was just okay, nothing too bad but nothing special either.

Yeah, summer season is always the weakest. I'm also surprised Shoushimin Series got a second season! Who would've guessed. I definitely thought I'm gonna have to continue with the novels if I wanted to know what happens next. Hopefully we'll get to know more about the characters since I feel like we barely know them. I'm especially curious about Osanai!
Episode 0 spoils the last volume of the manga iirc, so you shouldn't start with that if you want to know nothing about the story. I skipped it completely. But yeah, there have to be some guides out there for when you want to watch it!
I only know one spoiler from One Piece (about Ace) and hoping to avoid other spoilers until I watch the remake or read the manga ^^;
Well, I do read long profiles ngl xD Because I think it's interesting what people have to share about themselves or the shows they like. In some cases, it even makes them more approachable too imo. But as I've said, simple profiles are also nice! And easier to update/change, so that's a plus haha.

Okay, so literally everyone who watched 365 Days to the Wedding said it's boring. Seems like I dodged a bullet with that one lol. Orb is also my favourite one, it was such a nice surprise! I'm also watching:

Okay so aside from seasonals, I've recently finished Texhnolyze and loved it! It is supposed to be a very bleak cyberpunk anime and, even though it is, I found the ending a lot less depressing than people usually claim it is. But as a fan of Serial Experiments Lain, I knew I'm gonna find Texhnolyze pretty meaningful as well!
I've also watched the first season of Demon Slayer and it was pretty fun. I mean, it's not a masterpiece or anything, but it was enjoyable. I also like Tanjirou as a MC, he is such a cinnamon roll haha. And I finally found a Lisa song that I like xD The OP is quite catchy!
Clannad - idk. Read a review on after story and seems to have the same problems. Can't say, for now I feel no urge to watch but also kinda want to finish it to have a clear opinion.

Let me give you an example - from your beloved Garden of Words, if you fancy sparing 3 minutes. Compare the confession scene at around 34th minute mark in sub and dub. How the "happiest time of my life" sounds in japanese and english, then how they altered the confession in english. How the strict and direct japanese confession compares to his too shy first words in english. The teacher's VA did a great job, stepping out of her stereotypical roles and voice manner. Yeah those are the kind of things that work for me. Getting carried away here..
Murai in Love is interesting. It's quick and witty and doesn't try too hard. It's animation is a slideshow basically, but it seems intentional and it's acceptable to me but I guess it could be a deal breaker for some. It did also surprised me with some plot elements and scenes. Watched it as broadcasted and I was actually waiting for episodes, so that's a pass.
Oh wow, didn't knew there's such an arbitrary limit. That sucks.. Another instance of devs (in general, not only MAL) ignoring issues forever. So I get that your profile is your mailbox for some time now...
After a few eps I think I don't like Clannad. It comes off to me as too cheesy, repetitive. Girls act like they're 10. To me it's like the show is trying way too hard and it just doesn't work. So I guess "they liked it, I didn't". For now at least. I don't know if or when I'll finish. Then, the movie seems to be a notch better, so maybe there's a chance.
Opinions - yeah agree. Would be boring only if everyone would be same but that's an extreme. Same as when everyone would not agree with anything. I'd say the balance is key, right ?
Dubs. I have to say I find it hard to watch undubbed shows. I know the shows are made for japanese language and japanese audience in mind and dubbing can carry its risks like losing information (they skip things sometimes), distorting meanings, literally changing facts. I accept that. I just enjoy it more dubbed. I will watch subbed if I'm motivated but in general it's a turnoff for me. I watched Insomniacs After School subbed and it was still a happy experience (one of the best). I'd even say I like Isaki's original voice better. That show got dubbed pretty quickly I think. Lovely Complex on the other hand, got dubbed after like 12 years. It was a strange coincidence that it existed for so long and I found it only short after the dubbing was done. I can safely say I'd ditch it if I had to watch it subbed, it just doesn't compare. Dubbing added ALOT to the experience, they made alot of changes from the original content, but most for the better.
Lately I've also done Murai in Love also in subs and with that minimalistic animation and still enjoyed.
Plus I have a thing for voices. It's not like the ASMR stuff, I'm not wanking to it 🤣, it's just an important quality for me and I like good voices, same as someone would value art or animation. If I have to give some examples it would be Lovely Complex for the insane exchanges and Risa's VA flexibility. And Frieren's voice perfectly matching the character. Dandadan's VAs are doing an awesome job too. From recent ones, Clannad would be a negative example, sounding like elementary school children reading aloud.

For Melancholy yeah one part was the fun unpredictability like S1 being out of order, talking cat, the beam etc but in the movie it went nuts for me. Similar to the MCU when they introduced all that multiverse shit and time travels, everything can be turned over and nothing is forever. Nothing is certain. At any time Haruhi can erase everyting, Nagato somehow stole her power and changed everything and they changed it back again and we're not really sure exactly what happened as it was off screen. That bothered me actually.

Ναι, είναι από την ίδια εταιρεία που έκανε τα Persona. Έχει αρκετά παρόμοιο gameplay αλλά είναι πολύ διαφορετικό σε narrative και σε setting. Δεν ξέρω αν σου αρέσουν τα jrpg, πάντως το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.
Χαχα κατάλαβα, παίζεις ότι δεν έπαιξες τόσα χρόνια. Τίποτα καλό που να προτείνεις.
Α μάλιστα οπότε μπορεί να δώσω μια ευκαιρία στο Blue Lock τότε. Με ψήνεις ακόμα περισσότερο για Orb με αυτά που μου λες. Ήδη με το ζόρι κρατιέμαι να μην το αρχίσω. DanDanDan σίγουρα θα το δω κάποια στιγμή πιστεύω απλά όχι τώρα. Έχω μεγάλο shonen fatigue. Ο μόνος λόγος που βλέπω και το Shangri La είναι επειδή το βλέπω με έναν φίλο.
Χαχα καλά έκανες και το προμόταρες και όπως πάντα πολύ καλογραμμένο. Πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα θεματολογία πρέπει να πω, θα το δω σύντομα.

Χαχα πιο πολύ για πλάκα το είπα, γούστα είναι αυτά. Απλά ίσως να έμπαινε στα top 10 αν του έβαζες λίγο παραπάνω, το ποιο θα ήταν ωραίο.
I'm glad you ended up enjoying it! I wasn't 100% sure I'm gonna love it this much, but after a few eps I was hooked xD And since Witch Hat Atelier is getting an anime adaptation next year as well, I have a feeling that good fantasy anime are finally coming back into our lives! They've been absent for so long :')
Yeah, especially if they're obviously very different shows. I have no idea how do you even compare them lol. MHA is getting worse and worse though, it definitely lost that charm it had in the beginning sadly.
Finally someone who understands! I just can't understand how people can plan in advance what are they gonna watch/read in a specific day. I really wanted to watch horror movies and read horror books last month, but that didn't work out. Like who knows, maybe I'll be in the mood for horror stories during Christmas xD

Mine are more or less ranked. HxH is my favourite anime of all time, so I had to put that one first. Basically I ordered all my 10s, then added my 9s and then my 8s.
Okay, I can understand why you don't like Steins Gate or Cowboy Bebop and honestly, I can't disagree with anything you've said about them. Steins Gate was good, but definitely not masterpiece level. And I might be in the minority here when I say that the first half wasn't as bad as some people critiziced it to be. It was just a little less good than the second ^^;
As for Cowboy Bebop, I really liked that one but mostly because of some episodes. Some of them weren't that good. And another unpopular opinion, but the ending was my least fav thing xD It was way too melodramatic for my taste haha.
Now the shows I personally hate... Mushoku Tensei comes to mind first. I really don't understand the hype for this one, it's just your average isekai, not to mention how dislikeable and disgusting the mc is. He isn't as bad as Makoto from School Days, but that show gets enough hate already.
FLCL is another show I hated, but this one's absolutely loved by elitists here xD Same with Tatami Galaxy. There are so many I dislike now that I think about it lol. Oshi no Ko is also trash, but this time manga readers seem to agree with me since the ending was really bad, apparently.
You've seen quite a few summer anime as well! Which one was your favourite? For me, it has to be Shoushimin Series. Even if they overthink stuff too much sometimes (like in ep 2 lol), I think the characters are pretty interesting and I'm curious where the story will go from here. Looking forward to season 2!

Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction was a weird one for me. It start out good, then around episode 7 or so I kinda got tired/bored of everything, then I got invested again when they revealed something, but then towards the end I ended up not liking the story again. It doesn't help that the adaptation is so weird, like you're not supposed to watch episode 0 but you can come back to it later on. I usually enjoy sci-fi shows, but this wasn't it for me. I didn't really feel attached to the characters either. But do let me know what your thoughts are if you end up checking it out!

Από αυτά που ανέφερες το Orb είναι αυτό που έχω την περιέργεια να δω περισσότερα καθώς έχω ακούσει εξαιρετικά λόγια από όσους το βλέπουν ή έχουν διαβάσει το manga. Το είχα ψάξει και λίγο πριν αρχίσει η σεζόν καθώς έφτιαχνα την ομάδα μου για το Fantasy Anime League του MAL και μου φάνηκε πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα η θεματολογία του.
Φυσικά έχω ακούσει και για το DanDanDan καθώς είναι παντού αυτή την περίοδο αλλά νομίζω ότι θα περιμένω μέχρι να πεθάνει λίγο όλο αυτό το hype που το περιτριγυρίζει πριν το δω.
Για Blue Lock S2 και Uzumaki που ενδιαφερόμουν επίσης δεν έχω ακούσει ιδιαίτερα καλά σχόλια.
Α ναι είδα και εγώ το Look Back και έχω την ίδια άποψη. Θέλω να το κάνω rewatch κάποια στιγμή για να έχω λίγο πιο εμπεριστατωμένη άποψη αλλά το απόλαυσα. Το The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes δεν το γνώριζα πριν το αναφέρεις αλλά το πρόσθεσα στα PTW μου και θα σου πω γνώμη όταν το δω.
Ναι ξεκίνησα πρόσφατα το Evangelion αν και έχω λίγο καιρό να δω νέο επεισόδιο καθώς είναι λίγο πιο απασχολημένος με την δουλειά αλλά η αρχή του είναι πολύ καλή και βάζει γερές βάσεις για την συνέχεια. Μπορείς να δεις εύκολα και την επιρροή που είχε στα anime των 2000s στο θέμα του introduction του story και των χαρακτήρων.
Αλλά από αυτά που είδα πρόσφατα αυτό που σου προτείνω αν δεν το έχεις δει είναι το Dungeon Meshi. Δεν ξέρω αν θες να περιμένεις μέχρι να βγει και η δεύτερη σεζόν αλλά είναι πολύ ωραία περιπέτεια μέχρι στιγμής.
Α επίσης είδα το Top 100 OPs Mass Rank και ήταν πολύ καλή λίστα (αν και είχες άδικο για το 6,5 στο 01) χαχαχα
Η αλήθεια είναι ότι δεν είχα παρατηρήσει το πόσα κοινά favorites έχουμε. Και το Oyasumi Punpun είναι άλλο ένα κοινό καθώς είναι ένα από τα αγαπημένα μου manga. Και όχι μόνο αυτό αλλά και στα αγαπημένα μου studios θα ήταν η KyoAni, η Madhouse και η Bones, οπότε ακόμα περισσότερα κοινά.
Το Fruit's Basket ήταν πραγματικά από τα πιο απρόσμενα αγαπημένα μου πράγματα που έχω δει ποτέ. Απίστευτο γράψιμο σε χαρακτήρες καθώς και σε ανάπτυξη.
Βλέπεις τίποτα ενδιαφέρον αυτή την περίοδο που το προτείνεις;
Ah that really sucks! It actually happend to me too when I wrote my reviews here. Most of those comments were pretty funny though, stuff like "you gave Monogatari a 5 and MHA a 7?? you definitely have trash taste" and things like that xD Hope your experience wasn't too bad though.
Oh, I see. Well, I really hope he can get to actually finish the manga but maybe that's just wishful thinking at this point :') Or have someone else continue it when he is still alive would be nice too.
Haha there really is no secret xD I only watch seasonals at night when I want to relax, so watching 2-3 eps is easy! And it's not like I have to watch everyday, some days there aren't any seasonals and in some others there are like 3 or 4. So I chose how many eps I want to watch in a day. But only watching a few shows is okay too, maybe you don't like to focus on too many at once. For me though, it works better this way because I'm a mood watcher/reader, so I have to frequently change what I watch or read ^^;
It's pretty long, so rewatching it might be difficult haha. Btw are your favourites ordered or they're just random?
Ohh what are those? I'm asking because I have a few popular series that make me annoyed too xD
Tbh I've already dropped 2 of them lol. Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita, as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too, because the first ep kinda bored me. It looks great but sadly it feels kind of cliche so far. As for what I'm actually watching:
Atri: My Dear Moments (haven't seen a VN adaptation in a while!)
Shoushimin Series (same author as Hyouka so of course I had to check this out! they dedicated a whole episode to hot cocoa and it was so fun, I love slow paced anime like this one. probably my favourite this season!)
Oshi no Ko 2nd season (so far it's more fun to watch than the first season, the way they talk about adaptations in general here is interesting)
Isekai Suicide Squad (this is so ridiculous and stupid, it's actually fun haha)
Make Heroine ga Oosugiru (not what I expected but it looks beautiful, sadly ep 2 was such a disappointment. it definitely lowered my expectations now)
Nier Automata season 2 (as I haven't played the game, I'm enjoying this so far)
Aside from these, I'm also watching Spice and Wolf remake from last season, The Raven does not choose its Master, along with Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction and MHA season 7. My favourite is probably The Raven does not choose its Master so far, but we'll see how things change as the summer seasonals are getting more eps! Well, I talked a lot about this xD
I've told Gooseflower this too, but slow replies kind of feel like writing letters haha. So that actually has its own charm as well!
Ohh feel free to share! I actually know quite a few of the characters already because it's almost impossible not to see One Piece content on the internet xD So yeah, I have no problem with that!

Not sure if you've heard of it, but it's really good so far. And it's getting an anime adaptation too next year! It looks gorgeous haha. I totally recommend it if you love fantasy, magic and great worldbuilding.
