I never really thought of the MAL blogs as actual blogs since they can be fairly limited. I guess it's just not what comes to mind when I think of a blog.
SAO had a lot of promise, I had a friend who read the source material and was hoping the adaption would be good since he found the source to be pretty good. Unfortunately him and many other readers were dissatisfied with the adaption, and after some things were explained to me I found the adaption problematic as well. It's important to keep in mind that the studio adapting the novel (A-1) is doing this as their first novel adaption, so a few issues were bound to come up I suppose.
If you haven't read the source or know all its details which it seems is the case for you, then maybe you will find it more enjoyable. It's all just personal preference at the end of the day anyway when it comes to entertainment.
Oh, it just seemed like a blog that was more meant for parents with kids (since I have none) who have what some might consider geeky interests. Of course, it's not like anything is ever restricted to only its target audience, but it seems I had it wrong and that's not quite what your website meant.
I and another friend also felt the same way about sharing our thoughts on anime and we had a blog for a brief time earlier this year. It was discontinued for the time being because of the loads of work involved with the difficulty of generating traffic for a new website. We learned videos seem to grow faster over text for sharing our thoughts these days so we've been trying our hand at that lately.
It's nice to see someone with fewer anime under their belt to already have so much interest. I imagine that most be difficult with kids, depending on how many you have.
Also, looking forward to watching any anime series on your horizon?
Hello again. I noticed you have a blog and thought that was quite interesting, though unfortunately it would seem I'm not qualified to be part of the target audience :P. Seems you just started recently though, any long term goals?
