If you like that kind of idea, I suggest giving the movie Super a watch http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1512235/?ref_=nv_sr_5 . It basically follows an average joe trying to be a superhero with very funny results. Think Kick-Ass with adult humor.

I think the idea you expressed would be cool, I just don't think Rolling Girls was able to pull it off. Here's hoping someone tries their hand at that idea again. In a way, it reminds me of 2nd rate heroes, like how the Teen Titans are seen as a group of sidekicks for example.

Just stopping by to let you know that I actually like the perspective you spun when approaching Rolling Girls in your brief review. Seen as just a bunch of side characters with no real weight in the universe they're a part of, the show becomes slightly more tolerable.
