I didn't think you were insulting me, I just felt it could be, I dunno, kind of a bother to you. I'm not analytical or anything, most of the time I just want to read/watch a story and most of the time I like everything until someone tells me why it is bad. That's why I tend to avoid discussions, I rarely can say anything other than "I like X" or " I liked it when..."
Discussions and smart people, actually. Things I avoid.
that's what i meant
i swear to god, that's what i meant to say
And Trinity Brothers were the same as Ali, mostly killing because orders/I like it. Looking back now, 00's antagonists were all pretty terrible.
And I am an idiot, so liking Treize makes some sense. Is discussing this with a guy like me a pain? I figure it would be, since I tend to be as smart as most AU villains are.
"The de-emphasis of characters is the reason none of the AU series have every been able to match to up UC"
I do agree with this, but it makes me wonder: 0079 has less episodes than W and 00, but manages to make a better characterization. I'm assuming this based on what you've been saying, excuse me if I'm wrong, but you like Ramba Ral, who was around for about 10 episodes, better than Ribbons, kind of there in the first season and main villain of the second one. I'm not sure if liking him better means he's a better character, so this thought might not make much sense.
And there's also Ali Al-Sarchez. Yes, he did piss me off whenever he showed up, but I don't really like him as a villain. I mean, he's your usual serial-that's-the-only-thing-i-know-how-to-do-killer, so there isn't much to like about him.
I did like Treize, but I'm not sure he really was a villain. Treize is more like the one who moves Wing's plot, from start to end. No wonder his theme is "The Man who Makes History".
Well, most of the AU characters have little depth, so can't expect much from the villains. Zechs and Relena was pretty much Char and Sayla, Ribbons was a megalomaniac Newtype... And Mr. Bushido is the anime character definition of "sore loser".
A Ramba Ral scene I really liked was when Amuro met him in a bar after deserting, when he notices Amuro is ready to shoot and just goes "That kid has guts. I like it". And I guess the suicide part was pretty good too.
Another guy I really liked was Garma, even though I don't know why. I think it was his naivety.
I did like Ramba Ral, but he was no Char, so didn't quite have the same effect. In fact, I was planning on watching the third movie first, because I didn't feel that interested in the other two.
I won't rank it against G, but it sure is better than W and 00. I liked both, but MSG had something greater in it. Having actual characters instead of "Mission Accepted and Mission Complete" machines sure adds a lot to a show. And Char, man. The worst part for me was that small Ral Arc, where Char got demoted for lettiing Garma die.
Also, the White Base crew was full of amazing characters too. Even Kai, who at first was just a prick, grew to be a great guy. Seriously, I didn't even blink at the last episode.
Yes, I think what makes G special is the way it is different from the others. And how, despite having some extremely silly things, it takes itself entirely serious.
One thing I noticed about Wing is that the Mobile Suits can destroy everything without barely any damage. I don't know if that is the flaw you mentioned, since I haven't watched many Gundam series, but it is a little bothersome.
After I'm done with G and W, I think I'll start UC. Mobile Suit > Z > ZZ > CCA, if I recall correctly
I'm not a troll sir, although my use of profanity often makes others think so.
I watch anime to better understand human interactions.
I have had some social experience, so I can understand Shinji and Asuka's actions. However, watching their actions do not give me any kind of "release"; rather, watching Shinji be a pussy just makes me angry and want to slap his face.
I cannot understand how someone can watch Shinji behave cowardly and not experience rising anger and frustration at his behaviour.

Guntank in space was hilarious, btw.

and I can't get the AIM thing to work right. By which I mean, I can't work it. I'm Kaitou Sai, so... could you do the adding part?
please?

Yeah, Tekkaman Blade is really great. It may start a little weak, but grows on you. Blade II isn't that great, though.
And I don't have one, but I'm on the process of creating it.

Taking out your anger on someone simply makes you more angry, and more likely to repeat the action in future.
I seriously hope you don't take that theory seriously.
I hate NGE for the shit-tier characters. I mean Shinji being a fucking coward and Asska being an annoying as fuck tsundere
