I haven't actually watched either of those anime, but I just decided to talk about them because you mentioned them in your review.
Maybe you should've added that part about the art lacking detail in your review, so it's more specific. So there's more detail than just "the art was poor" and "poorly drawn destinations".
Haha, I really doubt you'd want to watch season two. So far, it's seems a lot sillier than season one.
I just read your review for Space Dandy, and even though it's well written and all, I don't think you quite get what SD's about. It's main focus is comedy. It's SUPPOSED to be inconsistent, and it's not really supposed to have a goal, either.
The summary for the series is "Dandy is an alien hunter etc..." and the joke is that he absolutely sucks at his job. The whole point of that monkey-guy-chasing-Dandy-for-unknown-reasons thing is all for comedy. Every episode we see him trying to find Dandy for some reason and fails each time. It's not supposed to be taken seriously, and it doesn't take itself seriously, either. It's supposed to be pure fun and silliness. Sure, it's similar to Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, but I think it's more similar to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in terms of seriousness (even though it's not an anime).
I don't know if you were watching it in really poor SD quality or something, but I don't really understand how you could think it's art and animation was bad. Bones is a really good animation company, that animated lots of well-known anime and they did a stellar job on it, too.
I'm not saying this is the most perfect anime or anything, I agree the music isn't very memorable, and there can only be a certain amount of boob jokes before you start to get tired of it. But what I'm trying to say is that, you're taking it very seriously when it's not supposed to be.
I don't know if I managed to change your opinion on it, even by a little bit, but thanks for reading, I guess.

Good review.
But in all seriousness they're both series I despise so I thought a rec would work.
