Hello! Pasta, here.
I am an NYC-based graphic designer.
My anime/manga tastes are pretty eclectic, I guess. I am equally interested in many other forms of entertainment, including music, movies, books and independent comics, and some vidya games. I enjoy doodling, though I wish I would use more of my time to improve my skills. History and sociopolitical issues are among many other interests.
I greatly admire the work of Range Murata, whom I believe genuinely understands and values the principles of good design, on top of being an illustrator. My current profile picture and avatar were illustrated by him.
I would love to meet and discuss with new people, so feel free to drop by and leave a comment. Keep in mind that I am somewhat busy (read: pretty darn lazy) tho’ I will try to respond as soon as I am able.

Wow. It really *has* been a while, hasn't it? I cannot quite believe it's been over half a year since I last logged in onto MAL (*gasp*), and a good four months since you came and wrote on my wall (*re-gasp*) in an attempt to revive my zombified online self. XD
More seriously, though, I apologise for taking so long in answering. Although you should know that you were very close to succeeding in bringing me back! I actually read your message a few months ago and set on answering right away… only to remember I had to discipline myself and keep my paws off MAL altogether, as I had a couple of pressing headlines dangerously looming in the background. (All in the past now, and duly honoured in timely fashion. I am so proud of myself.) Logging in would have been too dangerous, as I am far too easily distracted ("oooh, new anime, shiny shiny…" *wander off following sparkly new episode of whatever has caught my short-spanned attention*).
But now I'm back (again), and hopefully able to better organise my time so I can interact on here a bit more. ;)
So, how have you been? I hope your search for a full-time job is going well. It's good that you have faith in your skills and seem to know what you are looking for – I find that a bit of well-placed confidence can be a real plus to convince future employers. (I know that's how I got my internship, which then resulted in my first contract.) Gaining experience also helps getting around, obviously. I wish you all the success you deserve. :)
You seem to have an incredible amount of anime on your Currently Watching list! D:
I, for one, am feeling rather out of the loop… still haven't caught up with winter and spring shows (I've been meaning to check out Tiger & Bunny for ages, and Hanasaku Iroha seems interesting from what you had to say about it). Heck, I haven't even finished Hourou Musuko… I had very mixed feeling after watching the first two episodes. I'm usually fine with adaptations being different from the source material (different media require different approaches, after all), but for a reason I cannot quite put my finger on, some of the finer details didn't sit well with me. I really do want to watch the whole thing, though, as it did look good, and I have a feeling that this was just me being too viscerally attached to the manga… I also need to finish Tegami Bachi Reverse and Kimi ni Todoke 2nd season! Gosick I hadn't heard of until you mentioned it, but you got me intrigued. I'll have to check it out. :)
As for the current season, I'll be following Mawaru Penguin Drum, Natsume Yuujinchou San, probably Dantalian no Shoka, too (if anything for the pleasure of hearing Miyuki Sawashiro, and because anything featuring books doing weird things warrants my attention). Will try and catch up with Ao no Exorcist and Deadman Wonderland, too. (I hope I can find the time for all this – it doesn't help that I also keep rewatching old shows I buy on DVD…) What about you?
I haven't started Amanchu yet, although I've been eyeing it for a while. I'm very curious to see what Amano has to offer after the gem that was Aria! I also need to start reading Otoyome Monogatari (A Bride's Story), as it looks incredibly beautiful (and I loved Emma). Right now I'm still trying to get over the fact that Octave is over… I, too, need to read more manga! Care to recommend a series or two? :D
Anyway, I hope you are well, and I look forward to resuming our conversations! Have a nice day. :)
Edited to add: Your current avatar sure is lovely~
