I hear something out there callin' my name.
No matter where I turn it all looks the same.
I never sleep at night, I just stay up and wait.
But the burning in my blood never came.

Will I know it?
Will I know it when I see it?

I know that what I am is not who I should be.
The devil takes my hand and says, "Child come with me"
My body shivers and aches, I can't break free.
Why do the things I hate come so naturally?

I'm a paradox. She is faithful and yet detached. She is committed and yet relaxed. She loves everyone, and yet no one. She is sociable and also a loner. She is gentle and yet tough, she is passionate but also platonic. In short she is predictable in her own unpredictability..

I do not have to be high to be creative.
I do not have to be drunk to have a good idea.
I can sit with my thoughts and not feel crazy.
I keep telling myself this, over and over in hope it will come true.
But the truth is I am crazy.
I cannot be alone with my own thoughts and not wish to be high or drunk.
I want the pain to go away but the past keeps stopping me from seeing the light.
I need people yet I push them away.
I cry in the night.
I am scared
