If you liked that rec, chances are you'll be fond of my latest rec, too. There's an anime that's just started airing - also a LN adaptation - that comes across like a more mature/less haremish Boku Friendship. Hace a looksee and see if it strikes your fancy!

Glad you enjoyed Mx0. It's a shame that the manga wasn't popular enough in Japan, forcing them to cancel it. Mx0 had the potential to be one of the truly great and unique shounen titles (along with Hunter x Hunter), which makes me sad (T_T).
