Hello there! My name, for this site's context, is Sam. I am a very average anime+manga lover, especially shoujo and adventure ones. I started watching animes since 2016, when everyone (where I lived) were going crazy about Host Club (I still, to this day, love it.. no, I do not accept criticism lightly). Hopefully I can provide some helpful notes/recommendations in both animes and manga/manhuas!
My grading scale will be, hopefully, pretty easy to understand. Mainly-
1-1.9: Abysmal, do not understand the need for the piece to exist; just NO
2-2.9: Can list only bad things but maybe not question existence (proof of bad pieces)
3-3.9: There was an attempt, which ended horribly.. but at least there was an attempt
4-4.9: Attempt + either mediocre art OR MANY plot-holes; would not recommend someone to watch/read
5-5.9: Meh, because plot had potential which wasn't met from the start (or great art with boring plot)
6-6.9: Good plot, but either not FULLY met potential (if many parts) OR ending/construction of series is mediocre
7-7.9: Would recommend to someone, but not life changing; beginner friendly level (slow-paced or predictable plotline)
8-8.9: Great plot, good execution; good art; relatable characters OR understandable arcs, along with realistic dramatic representations of emotions
9-10: HIGHLY recommend; would judge everyone who says anything wrong about the piece; great plot+ great execution+ goosebump-giving art+ communication is of high proficiency
I understand that not everyone would agree with my scale or how I grade any piece of literary work. But as mentioned, this is my opinion, as you are allowed to hold yours. Toodaloo!
