I am here, because I'm moe for statistics. I am also tsundere for people complaing about my ratings in the comments. Therefore, I'll help you clear up some stuff about my list in advance:
How do I rate anime:
My ratings work in such a way that when you sort my list by them, you have an accurate list of what my Top ~140 Anime would look like, which means personal preference comes first, and objective quality second. Music and character development are two things I seem to care more about than others. On top of that, I reward especially original series as I believe anime is made up of the same types of shows (highschool romantic comedies and ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER) more than any other medium in the world, and the lack of variety is a bad thing. If I feel I can't motivate my opinion on a title, I won't rate it, as is the case for quite a few titles on my list.
edit: Oh hey there's a script for this now, cool.
The numbers
My ratings of most individual shows may seem negative, so it's worth explaining what the numbers mean. Everything with at least a
5 gets a stamp of *APPROVAL*. Anything higher is great and anything lower is bad. This may not make a lot of sense, but I have my reasons, so bear with me and try not to start a fight over titles I rated "only" a 6 or 7.
Those are anime I liked.
Top animation studios! (outdated)
Though not as bad as in the world of video games, lots of people also have an opinion on the various companies in the industry. To find out which studios could count on my unrelenting fanboyism, I one day set out to rank all my completed TV series in one big list of
120 titles. From this I calculated the average position for every studio with at least three titles in the list. Note this list is science as well as religion, and it cannot be argued with.

wow that's awesome!! :D
