Right? Truly is a shame, indeed. It's one of my favorite anime comedies to this day even if my weighted rate might make it seem otherwise.
The content got hurt in terms of development and writing ever since, too. And yeah, Shin-chan is a really good series to start with in terms of being an input, lots of nuances in the language and culture such as "uchi-soto" are things that I got to notice and research more about 'because' of some storylines in the anime, around the time I was having a harsh time with keigo.
