Hey. I know I haven't gotten back to you in a while, since I've been mad busy. But I just wanted to thank you for convincing me to read the Eva Re-Take. One of my friends had already suggested it to me, and I would have gotten around to it eventually, but having someone else suggest it to me just gave me that extra push to read it now. And OMG, was it so worth it! I honestly think it is one of the best ways Evangelion could possibly end. And that's saying a lot :) Now if only Anno will make the final Rebuild movie with a similar ending. That would really prove that, "God's in His heaven. All's right with the world." LMAO

Ok cool, then I'll definitely try it out when I get a chance. And thanks for the friend request. It's always nice to have someone to talk to with similar interests. I got a couple questions, if that's cool.

First off, how are you liking Darker Than Black? It was recommended to me by a friend, and it strongly reminds me of Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, but with supernatural aspects. I really enjoyed it. Here's some advice if you plan on continuing to the second season. Watch the OVAs first. All of them. Even though the 4 Gaiden ones came out after the second season aired, they take place between seasons 1 and 2, and it really helps understand it all better. Just some friendly advice.

Second, I have not seen Lucky☆Star, but it's on my ptw list. From what you've seen so far, is it worth it?

Lastly, this is going back to Evangelion. There's like a million and one different opinions about how the last Rebuild movie will end. But I strongly think it will go down one of two routes: that being the original ending and the other being the EoE ending. I honestly think it will be closer to the original ending. What about you? Here's something that might pique your interest.

"The concept of jo-ha-kyū (序破急?), which roughly corresponds to "beginning", "middle", and "end", originated in classical gagaku music and is best known to describe the acts of a noh play. In lieu of the traditional classification, the production team has chosen to represent kyū (急?, [ˈkʲu͍ː], "hurry") with the Roman letter Q, for "quickening." With the premiere of the third film, it was announced that the symbol to be used for the final film would be the musical symbol known as the final barline (𝄂 or ||).[3] However, according to a news article published by Anime News Network it is actually the repeat sign (𝄇 or :||).[4] The intended Japanese pronunciation of this symbol has not been stated.
The film titles, in contrast to the normal katakana spelling of Evangelion (エヴァンゲリオン Evangerion?), replace the e (エ?) and o (オ?) characters with the obsolete we (ヱ?) character and the infrequently used katakana wo (ヲ?), respectively. The change is purely a stylistic one, as there is no change in pronunciation and all appearances of the Latin spelling of "Evangelion" remain the same. The final film reverts to the original katakana spelling, but adds Shin (シン?) to the title; as it is written in katakana and not kanji, the meaning of shin is ambiguous and it can be alternatively translated as either "new" (新 Shin?), "true" (真 Shin?), or even something else entirely. As was done with episode titles in the original series, each film has an original Japanese title and a separate English international title picked out by the Japanese studio itself."

If you think about it, I think it's hinting at a new remake or "repeat" of the original ending, not the EoE ending. Anno put meaning into every little detail in NGE, so the slight change of the title definitely carries some meaning. After all, Anno did say that now he can create Evangelion the way he originally intended to, w/o budget limitations. Though, he also said he wants to destroy Evangelion with these movies. Knowing his genius, he'll probably accomplish both. All I know is that chances are we can look forward to "Omedetou" with brand spankin' new animation :P But that's just one of my interpretations. Either way, it'll be epic.

Btw, I have nothing against people disagreeing with me. In fact, I welcome an intelligent discussion/debate. I think it helps both parties learn. As long as it's not mindless arguments. So feel free to disagree with anything I've said. Hope this long message wasn't a bother.

Hey, nice list and favourites. After reading your page, I just have to ask. I've heard some things about the Doujinshi Evangelion Re-take. Is it really that good? And are there any significant differences from the original story? Just figured I'd ask someone that obviously likes NGE just as much as me.
