It has been fun! This rewatch started because I'm watching it with my girlfriend, so it's been very enjoyable for that reason. It's also comforting to know that I still love this series after 4 years and that a lot of the episodic stories still resonate with me. Knowing how the series ends makes me super appreciative of how the series handles itself, especially going into Motto. Currently going from Motto and man I didn't realize how much the writing picks up. The episodic classroom episodes are a lot funnier and the drama is great.

My life is still the same. I work a boring fulltime job, and play games and watch anime in my free time. I did take on a few new hobbies tho, got myself a sewing machine so I can make my own cosplay costumes (it collects dust rn), I started a vinyl record collection, and I started reading books (regular books besides manga).

I still use discord, but lately everyone’s too busy with their own lives to chat I guess, so I mostly use it to get updates from artists and game dev’s servers now.

Its truly been years. I remember you. I didnt finish punpun eventually. I kinda... started disliking most sexual stuff. My current zen self needs to find piss and free himself from all human barricades. I shall ascend.

Are you doing well? And if not, so am I (kinda). But im happy to be me. Im a funny guy and a mathematician. Proud of both. And got some good friends on top of that. All girl stuff is depressing shit so i wont talk about it.

Yeah, unfortunately Frieren just completely lost its steam. This arc just proves that the story will try to drag out pointless events to its heart's content. I was hoping that this 28-episode length would be more of a complete and succinct tale, but it clearly will devolve into just another 3+ season franchise. Disappointing. Overall it is still quite a good show but Redinfinity and I have completely lost our interest. I am keen to see your thoughts from here onwards though!

Hi Waffles!! It's been far too long. I'm pleasantly surprised to see you're in law school now! Congratulations man. Sorry to hear that it's been really difficult though. I feel you. Medical school has been quite the journey, too. Redinfinity and I are almost done, however. We are halfway through our final year by now and exams are looming around the corner. Just looking forward to finally graduating from being a student and earning a salary. How far into law are you atm? I really hope you can manage the workload better, though and I mean that.

About Frieren, yeah it's pretty great. Has been jumping up and down from a 8 to 9 and back again, though. It's just generally a really well-rounded show. Peak animation, a great and varied soundtrack, a proper fantasy setting (for once in anime!), well-characterised characters that actually develop. Pretty darn good package that is probably the best anime to come out in years as far as I've seen. Also, IMHO it is quite a bit better than Bocchi - Bocchi honestly just started falling flat by the latter half and seemed to lack ambition. Still a good show. The director is certainly one of the great talents of this generation and did an excellent job adapting both Bocchi and Frieren. All in all, I definitely recommend Frieren, it's got a great synopsis and is a really fun watch - time just flies!

Oh yeah, law school is one hell of a commitment. It should pay off and be worth it once you finish, but I expect it'll ask a lot from you while admitted. More than anything, keep an eye on your mental health and stressors that're bound to come up over the course of your studies. Maybe there're people you'll meet or already have met who are good at handling stress and organizing their schedule/time to prioritize law school while still maintaining hobbies or interests.

Yo Waffles! Long time no see. I've been good, had to work more over the last year or so since everything's become so much more expensive, which has taken a while to get organized with how late my hours are. But I've also finally gotten to some TV shows and games that I had been putting off for years. What about you man?
