4. My epic, deep and compelling backstory.
You could say I bear a remarkable similarity in personality traits to Okabe Rintarou. Arrogant, argumentative, bad with women, and I have a great appreciation for science and skepticism. I also like to use embellished language just for the hell of it, but underneath all of my fluff and haughtiness I'm really just a big softy with good intentions. I like having long and heated debates with people while still shaking hands with them when all is said and done. I'm also a gamer and fledgling game developer. My primary system of choice is my custom-built gaming PC, though I still do some console gaming from time to time as well. And finally, I like to write a lot, from reviews to forum posts to various creative writing projects. My goal is to one day at least successfully complete one full-length fictional novel.
Oh, and I like anime too. That might be somewhat important to mention on a website about anime. Yes, my favorite genres are mecha, sci-fi and fantasy, but I'll branch out to nearly anything if the storytelling is done well enough. My interest in anime started in the late 90s when Toonami first made its debut all the way back when their host was Moltar. It was then that I was introduced to Robotech and I was immediately glued to my TV screen every afternoon after school for the next several months. After that, Toonami brought me Dragon Ball Z and Gundam Wing, and my appreciation just took off from there. I must warn you however that I can occasionally be a harsh critic. Please try not to take offense; I criticize for the love of the medium.

6. My 120% objective rating system.
Generally anything I rate 5 and above I consider to be watchable, though of course those anime rated on the lower end of that spectrum may have significant flaws. Anything rated 8 and above comes highly recommended, and 10s I consider to be must-sees that I do not hand out liberally. However, even anime that I give perfect scores to I rarely consider perfect; every show has its mishaps, but these are ones that I believe come as close to perfect as can be reasonably expected by artists. I am not a masochist as I try to seek out series that I think I'll like, so naturally my overall average may be skewed in favor of 6 and above. I also do not let any of my scores be influenced by popular consensus; my ratings are strictly evaluated by my own standards (read: personal enjoyment). Finally, I will generally rate shows that are in-progress or on-hold even though I have not finished them yet. Understand that these ratings represent only a temporary assessment based on what I've seen so far, and are highly subject to change before I finish the series.
And for the record, anyone who actually claims to have objective ratings and isn't just trolling like me should probably double check if they're wearing headgear because it's a long fall from that high horse of yours.
