Karasu's cool if you're into the Lestat aesthetic. I was just talking to another guy about Cyborg from TT and I noticed he's a lot like Chu, it's scary how similar his friendship with Rinku is to Cyborg and Beast Boy's. Chapter Black being over the top was the best thing about it! It was a huge departure from the conventions of a fighting anime and it hit you with that as soon as Kurama started his game with Yuu Kaito. Suddenly he's the strongest in the group because he knows how to use his noodle! Higure sends a truck after Yusuke, Elder Toguro comes back stronger than the psychics (I knew he wasn't dead, Kuwabara would have had to do him like T-1000,) and Hiei challenges Yusuke Vegeta-style. Those parts made the second half of the series for me, but i'll admit there were low points. Mitari (?) and Amanuma stood out as a drag.

Is there anything you're watching right now?

Yeah, the dark tournament was so good because it wasn't like most fighting anime with the scowling and cheesy dialogue... It was about bonding with your team and your enemies. Every time they went up against a new team, you got to see cool unique new characters and learn something about Yusuke's squad. My favorite was Jin! Good characters shine hard in evil groups.

Good luck with your book, I've never been about yaoi but I can tell you're passionate about it!
