Other characters I like: Jiji and Kiki (KDS uncut dub), Kumiko Oumae (Hibike! Sub), Iwakura Mitsumi (Skip to Loafer), Duck (Princess Tutu Dub), Bernard Wiseman (Gundam 0080 Dub), Kenzou Hidaka (Kakukaku Shikajika)
Likes:anime of every genre and era, auteur works, cel animation, visual/environmental storytelling, well crafted atmosphere, introspection, dreamlike qualities, stream of consciousness, experimental, abstraction, monochromatic lighting (usually found in cel animation), ensemble casts, characters finding themselves, exploring taboos (by way of both realistic and fetishistic portrayals), unique presentation, pillow shots, dubs that take liberties in translation (localization > literal translation) so long as authorial intent remains intact, minimal dialogue (unless dialogue is the focus), people watching, locations detailed enough to be navigable by the audience, seeing characters live their daily lives under the new status quo at the end of the story as the credits roll, author's notes in manga (usually found in Tankoubons), Sukebans.
Dislikes:audience surrogates, thin line work, hyperactive camera movement (usually found in CGI works), sacrificing technical storytelling for thematic storytelling, unnatural dialogue in realistic/grounded settings, repetitive phrasing, references as comedy, Manzai comedy (Tsukkomi & Boke), hive-mind thinking (characters independently coming up with and using the same phrasing as each other), characters on the sidelines of a fight explaining the fight, characters talking to themselves, one character explaining the psychology of another character, exposition between characters who should already be informed, emotionally manipulative directing (ie. flashback montages), technology progressing too quickly in manga to keep up with the current year of publication, miscommunication/misunderstandings.

My rating system operates on a 1 to 9 scale
I never intended for this to be the case but for whatever reason I just haven't felt compelled to give anything above a 9.0. I'm not saying that an anime needs to be perfect to get a 10, that the perfect anime doesn't exist, or that my favourites aren't to the highest possible standard. It's just that my max score is a 9/9.
A 5/10 (or 5/9 in my case ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) is the most damning score I can give as it means that I feel nothing for it. I can at least enjoy 4s and below in the capacity of an armchair-director or if they have "so bad it's good" qualities. A bad anime is much more engaging than a bland anime.
All my ratings are just my opinions
I'm always glad when a work of fiction finds an audience that can appreciate it! ●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・● Just on the border of your waking mind,
There lies another time.
Where darkness and light are one,
And as you tread the halls of sanity.
You feel so glad to be unable to go beyond.
I have a message from another time. ~Let's All Love Anime~
