The last song I listened to was Summer Days by Martin Garrix, Macklemore and Patrick Stump.. courtesy of my spotify randomised playlist ahah. How about you?
No worries at all, better late than never~
Tough question! I don't normally go out of my way to listen to music but I like music that makes you feel like you want to bop your head to it, or dance, not that I dance or anything. So maybe some EDM but I'm listen to pretty much anything, I'm not fussy ahah. I'm not strict about the language of the lyrics either.
How about yourself? :>
I vaguely remember! I haven`t talked to anyone in my friend list on this site for nearly a decade, so my memory is a little fuzzed.
Hope you`ve been keeping well over the years! :>
she thinks that she has been a deeply unfair, selfish, and bitter friend (by using traits naturally gifted to her) and she thought that no better way to redeem herself by confessing to Chitose in front of her friends, which she knows she will be turned down 100%. the one thing that i remember concretely was that Yuuko had asked all her female friends "do you have somebody you like", and when all of them said no one way or another (even though they clearly like Chitose), her thought was that all her friends held back their feelings for Chitose just for her.
obviously you need a lot of self-confidence to think that way, but i think its granted given it's Yuuko we're talking about.
the confession, then, is the punishment she decides to put on herself. to be rejected in front of her friends, to let them freely pursue their love for Chitose, to forcefully remove the "special" label that everyone but Chitose had sticked onto her.
if i have to summerise it then, she "checked her privilege" and thought that she was undeserving of them, so she confessed to Chitose in front of everybody to redeem herself.
it's ironic though, because although on a concept level the act itself might be selfless, the result is anything but that. Kaito is beyond furious and others left speechless and embarrased after the confession, a more cynical person might see this and think that she fractured the peace of a friend group for no reason other than her self-fulfilment.
i won't say that i agree with her actions 100%, but i certainly understand where she's coming from, as a high school girl who's boy she's madly in love is the same person as her friends'. i don't know if all this makes sense to you, i hope it does, but that's my take of that scene.
as for the lighter topics, i don't actually know if the Chinese translations are up to date. (;・∀ ・) i just buy the new volume when it comes out since i'm not that much of a digital reader. i'm guessing that you read online? i might start picking that up too since books are quite an expense for me rn.
however, i did hate how the prespective jumps around a lot and everytime that it does, they have to write "I, (name)" as if us the readers couldn't figure it out with context; i felt like my intellegence was constantly being insulted. i have thought about why the author does that, and i think it could just be him not having faith in his own writing, which is still bad but something i could understand.
as for Japanese, no really, i wish i can. i am at an N4 level so I could only barely feed myself if i were in Japan. Chinese is my mother toungue though so that's usually the language I read in.
Nothing much and a lot at the same time, I am a lot more older than when we first spoke.
What about you?
