People read these?
Watched Evangelion in 1997 from a roommate that bootlegged it from Hong Kong for our dorm (studied here abroad). Got hooked.
Watched Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball Z, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and everything just exploded from there. Tried finding things myself from the college network, found Ranma, and other things.
Got Card Captor Sakura, and then followed IIRC rooms with Polaris mIRC and DC++. downloaded fansubs like crazy. Elite fansubs was the best, A-J you guys sucked. A-E was a great gem. etc. etc.
Continued this through Rahxephon, Wolf's Rain, Juuni Kokki, and Last Exile in the early 2000's. Stellvia of the Universe was the last thing I watched. Naruto was good back then and was disappointed I didn't finish it, because...
Fall, 2003: Hard drive failed, and lost everything. So discouraged, and poor I moved on with my life, and played WoW to fill the void. I was 26 after all.
10 years fly by, and I make a new computer in April 2013 with a terrabyte of space. I learn about streaming anime and crunchy roll. I can get back into Naruto now with shippuden and this gets me back into everything.
I then find Modoka Magica and all these must-watches that everyone else took for granted and I'm overwhelmed. i'm still catching up. What the hell is Moe? what is a Tsundere? you guys made up names for that crap I saw before there was names for it? kinda cringy. What's this light novel adaptation idea? Haruhi Suzumiya? um... that was interesting... overrated.
I'm still trying to catch up on all those 7-8's rated shows that i missed over that last decade, I have have too many planned to watch, like Spice and wolf, still haven't seen it. I know i know. but theres ALOT like that. Nichijou is hilariously awesome. and steins gate. and full metal alchemist. so many things I missed lost in a sea of utter overrated crap. but that's what this genre is now i guess. too main stream, with people cashing in.
