Fate/stay night (2006) → Unlimited Blade Works → Heaven's Feel → Fate/Zero
Btw this is only for people wanting to get into Fate and want to know everything this story has to offer, if you just want to experience an amazing show and want to know what all the hype is about, starting with Zero is totally fine, you'll probably love it. Move onto UBW and then HF after if you do that.
Fate/stay night 2006 - I don't understand why this gets so much hate, apart from the dated art and animation, F/SN 2006 for the most part is a pretty good adaptation of the Fate route in terms of the story. Almost every major plot point is included and nothing is really left out, although some unneeded things from the other two routes were added in which is a big reason why many people say to skip this entirely. While I wouldn't call them direct spoilers, it's true that there is heavy foreshadowing to certain twists in UBW and HF that otherwise wouldn't be there. I don't think these spoilers are that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, especially since they don't explicitly say them, unlike Fate/Zero which is far far worse in terms of spoilers, the worst one being revealed casually in episode 1. However, if you wish to avoid as many spoilers as possible, skip episodes 17, 18 and the first 5 minutes of 19. If you do this though, you'll probably be pretty confused since you'll be skipping straight into the middle of a fight scene, but given the ending to episode 16, it should be pretty obvious what happened during those episodes. As for the quality of the Fate route itself, I'm pretty biased as I've read the VN, but I really like it and I appreciate it even more when taking the whole story of Fate into account. Also, many people criticise Shirous' character in the Fate route, which is fair but keep in mind that Fate route is only 1/3 of the whole story and Shirou develops a lot throughout it. Finally, even if you end up hating F/SN 2006, you get Sabers' story and everything gets A LOT better from here. Think of it like the Hunter Exam from HxH.
The rest is pretty self-explanatory, you can only really appreciate what Urobuchi and Nasu did with Fate/Zero by watching it last. As a stand alone, it's a really great show which you'll probably really enjoy (like I did), but by watching it with no context, all of the character relations, parallels and irony will just fly over your head, the ending will also be unsatisfying and confusing (unlike if you were familiar with F/SN, the ending will be amazing). Also, ignore anyone that says F/SN spoils Zero, that's kinda the point, and I promise watching Zero with context of F/SN is so much better than watching it as just a good battle-royale show with great animation. It's a rare case where being 'spoiled' makes the show better; someone watching Zero last will have a completely different experience than someone watching it first. One last thing, this is optional but I would highly recommend watching the Kara no Kyoukai movies, apart from the fact that it's an amazing story, it takes place in the same world as Fate and there is a small but important reference in one of the HF movies. It's not vital info, but it avoids having to google some questions and is a really great aha moment when you notice it.
I watched Fate the way most people did (started with Zero) and while I loved my experience, if I were to do everything again, this is the way I wish I watched it.

Yeah very likely aha, I know you've joined the ICAS discord and everything aha but are u planning on joining the society? If so then maybe going back to North Acton we could head back together? Ah thanks for reading it! I did wonder that too for a good while, every time i went to check the top ratings it was there and so I took a shot in the dark with this one being one of my first light novels. I wont lie ahem the cover did lure my monkey brain in, but yeah I can say it's definitely affected me alot, hardly a day goes by I dont think about it. Too relatable man, too relatable, ganbare for the both of us leading up to judgement day ( b ;-; )
I dont even think my parents know what manga even are heh probably just comics. Oh nice we're both in North Acton. I'll be staying in Woodward. I actually don't own really a collection of manga at the moment, hoping to grow it. But for what I do have, which is the Your Name manga and the Empty Box and Zeroth Maria light novel series I'll definitely be bringing, especially the Empty Box and Zeroth light novel series, I'm hoping to preach and share it with as many people as i can xD.
I wonder how I'll feel watching the final movie hmm.. Oooo im looking forward to the ost :3, bruh that's mad dedication man, props to you for doing that. Do you plan on bringing the volumes with you to uni?
Same here man :) I've not really watched any chinese anime apart from King's Avatar, but this was a welcome surprise and I loved every second of it. I saw the 3rd heavens feel on your favourites I've been putting off that movie for a while, I need to finish the series. Also ass class in favourite manga, *nods head vigorously approvingly, it was my first proper anime and still my favourite to this day :').
