The systems are not the problem - men are. Men are corrupt and they can turn even the most beautiful system into the ugliest ones to exist. For example, a dictatorship/leadership under a woman wishing for the good of her people, will always be far superior to that of a democratically elected, well-educated, religious man who only has personal gains in mind.

MAL forums are very strict but the personal comments sections have very relaxed rules. Forums used to be very active here but they also got very toxic very quickly. The mods were finding it difficult to constantly keep deleting and banning people for breaking the sub rules, so they changed the rules altogether.

Governments and leaders rarely make any decisions for the good of the public. Most of them are political in nature, have appeasement of a certain section of minorities in mind or simply bc those in power can profit massively off those decisions. That's a given.
The CCP is corrupt from top to bottom and I've read stories of how even the lower level officers harass common people in order to take bribes.

Plus, China is a bully. Nobody, except the beggars taking "loans" from them, ever defends that country. Right now, India is China's biggest threat (not militarily)

And why isn't it safe to criticize the CCP here?

my absolute absolute fav cdrama is the double (its on netflix)

I've read about these buildings actually existing in China. I suppose, with all the downfalls of living in a dictatorship, one of the upsides is being able to enforce decisions that wouldn't be well-liked by the public, even when it's for their own good. Like the controversial one-child policy. I think they should have allowed the 2nd child to be adopted, honestly. It would have saved so many orphan children's lives.

You travel via a bus, right? How much does the travel cost? I'm assuming you have a bus-pass.

I think I misread your last comment. You travel 3-4 hours daily, so that would mean you reach college by 8:30 and leave by 3, right? But that would still make you spend more hours at college than in commuting.

I read something yesterday about people hating their jobs because of the unnecessary commute timings more than anything else, and that sort of switched on a lightbulb in my head. Wouldn't life be so much easier if we all just lived 15 mins away from our colleges and jobs?

The new design is good but I definitely liked the older one more, simply because I'm partial to the colour pink. Even so, this must have taken hours and hours worth of editing to create it. Which software/website did you use?

Are you going to be online here more often now? How is your college? Is it in your city or do you live in a dorm? Which subjects have you chosen?
