Favorite years: Late 90s and early 2000s.
I like existential and thought-provoking or experimental and original anime, and I also like CGDCT. I prefer anime with 12 or 24 episodes (or less), that with just a few episodes can convey everything it proposed.
I hate generic anime or characters, cringe edginess, overdramatic anime, lazy tearjerkers and implausible scenarios or solutions that are meant to be explainable.
Personal rating system:
10 - Masterpiece
9 - Magnificent
8 - Excellent
7 - Amazing
6 - Outstanding
5 - Competent
4 - Decent
3 - Platitudinous
2 - Defective
1 - Worthless
(N/A) - Unranked
My reviews: I'll be direct and objective, giving my opinion about the anime briefly but completely. The reviews will follow the standard rating system, not my personal one.

I realized that some anime are tagged mystery even though it's just a small portion of them. This is the case here too. The mysteries are solved relatively quickly and easily, but I think it's not the main focus anyway, it's on the relationships.
I prefer short ones too, but for anime, I treat sequels differently. When a season ends and I didn't like the show, I won't force myself through the second season. And if it was simply average, then I'll take a break and watch other series before returning to it.
*Actually, now that I think about it, maybe the mystery is not really these small incidents, but the one large conspiracy in the background. Still, we'll probably know more about it in the next season. Well, at least me, haha.
