Not much to say other than I've been a gamer ever since I have memory, I'm also a history buff and a lover of good books.
Admittedly, I really got into anime only because of my best friend back in 2013, who presented to me Sword Art Online. Flawed as it is, SAO is and always has been my favorite anime, even though it may deserve some of the flaming it gets in the community every so often.
Since 2013, my preferred genres for anime are action, drama, romance, isekai, and slice of life. Though I have a strict policy of not watching anything under a 6,0 in MAL because of simply not wanting to waste my time. Unless of course, for some reason, someone recommends to me some shady, less popular and perhaps harshly criticized anime around here.
I don't have many friends that are into anime, as down here where I live, anime is not seen in the best regard by most of the younger generations. Heck, I don't have too many friends, period. But I prefer it that way, as I have a tendency of being overly curious and can be rather overwhelming if I'm not careful. That and most people are idiots anyway.
When it comes to gaming, I started back when I was three years old, as my mother started teaching me how to play a certain old game called Age of Empires. Since then and onwards, Company of Heroes and the Total War Saga have always been part of my library. Then I got my PS2 and I got into games like GTA, Final Fantasy, Need for Speed, God of War, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, and so on. The rest, as they say, is history. And needless to say, gaming has been a passion of mine ever since then. Games like Assassin's Creed, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and the Elder Scrolls are among my top 10 game series.
What else is there to say? Let's see, books!
As to books, one of my first reading was Tolkien's The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings. Counted among my first would also be the Harry Potter book series, and the Chronicles of Narnia. Stephen King's books were further on in my teenage years. And eventually, all that reading, gaming, and anime, got me into my current frustrated but potential passion, writing.
As a small trivia, I started role-playing in 2014, thanks to a certain game called The Elder Scrolls Online. The same day I startes playing, was the same day I started playing the game and making use of my creativity to invent characters and stories for years to come. I’ve formed a few Guilds along the years here and there, but these days, prefer to keep it personal and with barely any others.
And a bit extra. I'm a high school graduate, currently studying Law in university. Now in the process of writing, and luckily already halfway through, my first novel, with prospects of publishing it when I feel it's done and ready. Much inspiration was taken from mythology, games, movies, and even anime, to create something truly deep and marvelous in the genre of fantasy, which has, obviously, become a passion of mine over the years.
Thank you for taking the time, and even be curious enough to read up about me. If anyone would like to talk about anime, games, history, or even fanfictions about any of the first two, I'm always around! Literally, MAL is one of my constantly opened windows in my browser.
