You have a point about BD. I loved it, but it wasn't as deep as I thought it would be. I guess I expected a more dramatic approach to the parental development theme of the anime. I didn't let it bother me in the series, but you can easily spot it if you read the manga. I only disagree with the rating for SoL, since it doesn't apply to all SoL shows imo. I agree that characters are the most important when it comes to those shows. I say this b/c I have a problem when stories are mixed with Supernatural and SoL (e.g. Clannad AS). Of course, we're all entitled to our own opinions.
I thought you did a good job with Usagi Drop, but I have the same question for both reviews you have written. You basically spoke of both of them in a good light from start to finish, but never explained your score. E.g. You rated the story for Usagi Drop as a 7 but made it clear how it fulfills the SoL genre overall. Personally, I think you should've either explained the low ratings or just rate them higher.
