I'm pretty serious about Anime, but relatively speaking I am probably considered a casual fan because I
will take breaks from time to time. Sometimes I need to watch other things besides Anime to keep my interest fresh.
Anyway, I need Sci-Fi, and a little Slice of Life will hit the spot when I require a change of pace. But of course I will watch any and everything! I welcome recommendations. =)
MY Rating System (FYI):
10-Best Thing Ever/Game Changer. (I Cried, I Laughed, I'll Never Forget It)
9-Yeah Buddy! Super Awesome! (Well Done, That Could Be A Favorite)
8-That Was Good. (Really Solid, I'm Checking For Season 2)
7-Average. Yawn. (Decent, Hope It Wasn't Longer Than 12-13 Episodes)
6-Man, That Was Tough. (Below Average and Lacking Substance)
1-5 (I Hope I Am Not Watching Anything That Would Require These Ratings)
My rating system is based on how people generally rate Anime on this site, so it helps me find other Anime that I might want to watch. Works for me. =)

Hope you enjoyed!
And I have to agree with you, it was a very intense anime, from start to end, I'll probably rewatch the series again at some point.
And if I have to say something more that I've not said yet, then I think Re:Zero will be on most people's anime of the year, because as far as I'm concerned, there hasn't been any other series that've matched that quality, at least that's what I think.
