I think filler starts up after ep. 135 or something. Then it goes to Shippuuden.

Really, the only thing that screams must watch for me atm is Highschool of the Dead. Shiki could turn out interesting as well.

Just the first 20 episodes are actually good. It's standard shounen that gets progressively worse later on.

I've been sort of busy. I'm teaching some kids English (unfortunately not in Japan!) and am considering going to Teacher's College next year. Glad things are going so well for you, be sure to pick up some Rin merch in Japan.

And yeah I watch Nyan Koi. It needs more cats and less girls, but its alright. My favourite of the humans is the tsundere (surprise, surprise)
