I feel like I've seen the best anime has to offer me. Lately too much of what's been coming out has been checking off from a list titled, "Cliches, tropes, and other shit people like to see," and we fall victim to this mediocrity it because we love this medium of entertainment. Outside of comedy I haven't seen much growth in Anime. I can no longer get past all these plot holes, conveniences, poor development, lack of unique characters.

Yes, I really hate when a anime, such as SAO, has so much potential, but they just ruin it. It saddens me that it's rated so high here on MAL than some other animes that are way better it. For a anime called "Sword Art Online" showing more romance than action is just sad. And gee, I forget to mention how anti-climatic that duel was!

thanks for the comment! i do agree with you, SAO is such a huge let down. unfortunately, it seems that we are the only ones who think that since a lot of people clicked on the not helpful button :((

Pretty decent Bakemonogatari's review. You seem like an interesting dude, too, but don't you think you throw 10s and 9s to anime too easily? Also, do you, like most of the people here, also base your rating solely based on enjoyment or do you take in sevral other aspects also?
