I'd say I'm enjoying it. There are a few characters who I find to be a bit insufferable, and some plotlines I find to be a bit 'too anime', but all in all, the show is surprisingly enjoyable and capable of some genuine pathos when it needs to be. It's a bit weak in the mid-section, but so far, it's been pretty great. Taiga definitely brings the show together. I'll be sure to tell you what I think when I finish it.

On the comedy identity of Amagami, it's the same which isn't "bad", but I'm just not a fan of that immature style through the perverted side of Junichi anymore.
I don't think I ever was. What I remember fondly of Amagami since first watching the anime on 2010 is the romance itself and the charm of some of the heroines.

Amagami LS is ok.
Although, it was disappointing since it was mostly just a very casual comedic manga, and different lesser route of Haruka from the original.
Admitedly though, Haruka's route is one of my least favorites from their weird master-slave pet dog relationship and dominant senpai x kouhai dynamic.

I'm surprised it's your favorite and highest rated manga, but I do understand the feeling of adoring a story for its character or whatever even with its flaws.
I was a lot more judgemental in emotion early as manga-anime consumer, but over time even though I'm still emotional to judgement, I try to be much more critical.
I also have a unique structure to my scoring, which can be arguable of course, like anybody's.
