Yes, Year of the Dragon has been tough on a lot of people, including my penpals. I hope Year of the Snake will be something amazing and I also hope future Macross movies will be released then. I'm literally dying to see new Macross stuff.

My friend about your age, a Sailor Mars fangirl hanging out with her fiancée, is hoping to see a new Tsukihime anime. Yes, big fan of retro anime and Type Moon stuff.

As for Japanese, I used to learn it arduously for Silent Möbius and its sequel QD. Now I just use it for getting my PhD while studying other stuff. All the more reason to improve my lefty Japanese writing (more difficult to write Japanese characters with the Uniball Jetstream than with an S-Gel, Sarasa or G2).

Teachers used to tell me that I need foreign language for college and I have already seen why.
