Answering your question about Baccano! - its really hard to give any kind of proper explanation to this anime without spoiling the plot. The main thing I liked in it though was the way the whole story was told - there are alot of different characters and at first you get the feeling they are somehow connected but you don't know how untill the very end. So, when you start watching you've been shown story bit by bit e.g. you see some characters doing something and after few minutes you see other people and at different time period. Anime tends to switch between characters and also between time lines. So you really need to pay alot of attention to understand what actually happens now, which story is about past and whats the very begining. Author gives some hints so you are starting to guess some moments in the plot (I mean plot twists). But the cool part is that you'll get the whole picture only at the end of the series. Its really very original and takes your time and attention.
