Well you know, that actually everything is important.
I mean for example the 4 Devas Arc. Before you can watch this Arc, you need to watch every Episode of Gintama (first Season)
And other Arc from the first Season are using the knowledge from earlier arcs. Like Tama Arc, The Introduction and then the Tama Quest Arc.
Or other Episodes.
Which is the reason why I totally do recommend to watch Gintama in order.

Only can say again, since Gintama has a Story. And Episodes are using knowlefge from earlier Episodes, I can only recommend to watch Gintama ni order.
Since in Gintama everything is linked together resulting to a really deep Story.

Why random order?
Isn´t it confusing? I mean Gintama has a Story, with different Arcs.
