New year has been okay. I got accepted into two schools so far and my midterm exams went well!
Hand drawn is definitely nice, but I think it has it's own feel. I like hand drawn anime for sure, it has a specific feel to it and that's great, but I think the newer and more modern ones that use animation and whatever else is cool too, since it has its own feel, and also, to put it simply, it's really pretty! And to be honest, I don't get what you mean by the transitions! For example, Suisei no Gargantia was a new anime that used these modern techniques and I thought its strongest selling point was its overwhelming beauty. If Code Geass was wasn't hand-drawn, I think I would still enjoy the show.
The word "shipper," probably comes from the word "relationship." The "ship," part of that word at the end (relationSHIP) is extracted, then an "er" is added to the end to denote a person who engages in relationships of fictional characters. This is just a guess though.
Right now I am watching Cowboy Bebop and I'm really loving it. It's an older anime so it's hand-drawn, so no worries there!
