Nice to know you liked it! Homunculus is a unique work for sure. Can't say I enjoyed myself as I read it but looking at it as a piece of work as a whole makes you appreciate it so much more. It has one of the best endings in all of animanga, totally blew my mind. I agree it's not a happy ending at all, if anything it's probably a bad one. I mean Nakoshi went crazy, and the transgender guy ended up betraying (??) him. I totally didn't see that coming too.

Though Homunculus is really, really confusing, you can't really understand what's happening as you read it. The characters are so convoluted it almost pisses me off because they keep pulling surprises and contradicting themselves. The storyline is consistent though, my least favorite volume was probably the first.

Hmm it's been a while since I read Homunculus so I can't discuss it in detail, but one thing I remember is when Nakoshi saw himself in other people near the ending. It could mean that he finally understood that people are going through shit like himself. Then he asks himself if it's hell or heaven. I won't ever come close to understanding what he meant there.

Ah I've been meaning to watch Pulp Fiction for the longest time. It's true that the quote originated from Ezekiel though. I noticed it because I thought I heard it before, in Ariana Grande's song God is a woman or sth like that.

I see you're reading Homonculus atm, what are your thoughts on it so far? It's very eccentric and freaky but the ending is one of the best endings I've encountered in all of animanga, so I think you should hang on and give it some thought before dropping it.
