Happy New Year (though it's kind of late for that)! I hope you had and will have a great year!
Personally, I don't think it's too advanced, it's just hard to get everything done on time. It doesn't really matter how smart you are, if you lack ability to finish on time, you probably won't get very far. I understand all of the material, but I'm too slow to get good scores the things that really count. I don't think I have much of an advantage over anyone. Thanks for the encouragement; it helps a lot! :)
I've been homeschooling since the last semester of my seventh-grade year. I know that's kind of weird, but my mom and I decided, halfway through the year, that I needed to leave the school I went to.
I love music, too! XD I usually listen every chance I get! ^.^
I usually like Rock, Metal, Indie, Symphonic, and foreign music (mostly Japanese) but I'll listen to almost anything. The only music I don't like greatly depends on the lyrics. I don't like very much American pop/ rap, but mainly because I either don't like the lyrics, the artist, or the way the bass instruments are played.
Next is a rant about bass instruments. If you don't wan't to read it, then please don't.
It sometimes seems like a lot of pop and rap artists think that if you just throw a lot of bass into a song, it sounds really good, but I personally think that it sometimes sounds like someone is having stomach problems. Bass instruments aren't meant to be played like that; they need to have a specific, sometimes complicated, rhythm that compliments the other instruments, or the other instruments need to be built off of the bass. It can't just be thrown in there, like some artists seem to do.
I have too many favorite bands/artists, but a few of them are Thousand foot Krutch, Linkin Park, Red, Within Temptation, Akiakane, Nano, Soraru, One OK Rock, and Meg and Dia. I also like Michael Jackson, though he's not one of my favorites. What are your favorite songs? These are some of my favorite songs:
Thousand Foot Krutch- Last Words, I Climb, War of Change, Shook, E for Extinction, Welcome to the Masquerade Linkin Park- Faint, One Step Closer, Somewhere I Belong, Pushing me Away Within Temptation- Dangerous Mind, Stairway to the Skies, In the Middle of the Night, Frozen Soraru- Lost One's Weeping, Zetsubousei: Hero Chiryouyaku, Senbonzakura One OK Rock- Yume Yume, Deeper Deeper, Et Cetera, Jibun Rock Annabel- Alternative Yousei Teikoku- Filament Egoist- Namae no nai Kaibutsu Valche- Play the Joker Ana Johnsson- We Are
Okay, at long last! Sorry it took so long! DX
So, for my homeschooling, I do work just like you would at any other school, except I'm at home, I wake up later, I do everything myself (I don't have a teacher), and I don't sit in a classroom. The two days that I actually go to school are exceptions. The first day, I wake up earlier than everyone else; I work in a classroom with freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors; and I have three teachers (I think we meet up in a really small church or something, and it isn't exclusively for my homeschool group, either. It's for anyone who has a homeschool covering and decides to enroll; kind of like a normal school that you only have to go to twice a week). One teacher teaches Latin; one teaches grammar, vocabulary, literature, and rhetoric; and one teaches history, logic, and bible. Both days are as long as a full school day at a public school. The second day, I do basically the same thing, but the classes and teachers are different. I have two teachers on the second day; one teaches math, and the other teaches science. If someone isn't taking a class that's being taught, then he or she will work on homework. During Latin, the first class of the first day, we all get a schedule that tells us the assignments we need to work on or complete over the week. It doesn't matter what order it's in, and they're not too picky about how it's done, as long as we complete the work by the due-date. I'm also in my school's co-op drama club. I'm a sophomore (10th grade).
Do you like listening to music? If so, what kind of music do you like?
My close friend and older bro and I went to the mall and watched the second Thor movie. It was fun since I haven't been to the movies for a long while :)
Ahhh!! THANK YOU!!!!! xD I never realized that my birth date wasn't in the info section... I gotta remember to add that in :b so don't worry for the late wishes, it's really my own fault.
Well I didn't do anything extreme for my bday, but my family went out to eat sushi and I got a ton of food as gifts too :)
Even though I'm a year older now, I feel exactly the same... haha!
Oh, and my birthday is on April 18. :)
I love, love, loveeeee the picture of EDWARD ELRIC!!! Thanks so much!!!!!
We have a couple of new polls up now which we have the Character and Team of the Month for February 2012 which you can vote for by visiting the following links.
To get this club up and more active again we are looking for members who are interested in helping us with different tasks in the club. If you have lots of spare time, are on MAL almost every day and interested in joining one of the staff openings please feel free to PM one of the admins on which tasks you’re interested in. Here’s some of the staff openings that are available now:
Newsletter Team – This is the area we need the most help. Job of being on the newsletter team is to send letters out to the members of the fan club. Were looking for at least 15 members or more to help us out with this task since sending letters to nearly 5000 members takes a long time for only one person alone.
Member Card Makers - If you have some graphic experience, we need your help with making Member ID Cards and sending them out to members that request for one.
Club Recruiters – Looking for a least a couple of members who are interested to help inviting members to the club that are interested in the Naruto series.
Again please PM me or one the other admins if you are interested in one of the positions above.
You're so welcome!!! I hope your birthday was great, and hope your party is lots of fun!
No no, I'm sure you're very talented, especially if you work that hard! :) Please, I don't think I can wear high heels since I trip in normal shoes!! x)
Wahh I'm so glad I did it! Thanks so much!! *hugs back*
I didn't know that Masashi Kishimoto's brother was his twin O____o That's cool! I wonder what it's like to be a twin?
I haven't heard of http://www.anime44.com, but I'll be sure to check it out! And you're very welcome :) but as of right now, Hulu doesn't really have many other animes, since it's mostly American TV shows and stuff like that~
I think I prefer all animes to be in their regular Japanese form, since I really don't like dubs! I'm glad you agree that Japanese is better! I haven't watched Shippuden in English dub though, I just saw a tiny bit of Naruto on Disney XD... (really hated that! :b ) Aww everyone still sounds like a little kid in Shippuden!? No! That's just not right! Oh and I suppose that pretty much answers your question haha! I like Naruto in Japanese too!
No worries, I totally get what you're saying- I suppose I think the same way too :)
Radiomanga.net has a lot of other anime OSTs, but for some of the Naruto tracks, the songs don't work so that makes me a bit sad :b But most tracks work for me so I hope they work for you too! As for instruments, I play piano; I also play flute, but it's been a while so I don't think I'll sound very good! (I wasn't good in the first place anyways HAHA). Thanks so much, I'll definitely check out Gendou.com! I love anime music!
So I looked up the song Numa Numa on Youtube, and I have heard it before!! It used to play on the radio several years ago I think, and I loved it :) I haven't heard it in a long time, thanks for reminding me about it! The type of music that I am currently listening to is music by Utada Hikaru; but my favorite band is Coldplay :)
Your grammar is always fine, which I love! I love writing long messages, but with most people I tend to try restraining myself. I feel like I bother people when I write so much and they write barely anything at all! So I'm glad you write long letters :)
Ahem... first of all... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! <3 I hope it's fantastic!!!!
Whoaa you must be super talented and brave; I tried out for a play once in elementary school... didn't make it... haha x) And you can wear high heels!! O____o I'd probably kill myself wearing those! Well if you ever learn how to transfer videos to laptops, please show me your play because I'd love to see it! By the way, I just started high school too :)
Alrighty, I'm gonna try to use a spoiler right now. It might be a total fail, so please forgive me in advance...
I'm desperately hoping I did it right and not looking like a total idiottttt
Yeah didn't his brother create 666 Satan or something like that? I have never read it, but I heard the art is a bit similar..? Maybe I'll read it someday!
You're very welcome :) It really sucks to forget where you are in a manga/ anime, that's usually the reason why I don't finish so many series D: Ads are definitely annoying! But it's worth it I guess, because watching Shippuden on Hulu has better quality than the website I used to watch on: animecrazy.net (which also has ads but not as much) ~
I'm so glad you agree!! I was sooo obsessed with Sasori! He's so adorable. I think anime is WAYYY better in Japanese! Dubs in English sound a bit odd to me... which do you prefer, English or Japanese for Naruto/ Shippuden?
YESSSS someone who also enjoys the happy music of Naruto more than Shippuden!!!!!!! I was also really disappointed with Shippuden music- most are just really depressing, though some songs are actually quite good. Yeah they replaced Masuda with some other guy so the music was totally different. I too play instruments so I think I get what you're saying x)
Oh my gosh! I'm not the only one listening to Naruto music on Youtube!!! I guess that answers your question- yeah when I was watching Naruto, I went on Youtube like every single day and listened to songs! Then I also went on radiomanga.net, and listened there so I wouldn't have to continuously click on the next song... But after that... I finally got an iPod and even downloaded all the Naruto OSTs HAHA. So I was pretty obsessed!
Your grammar/ spelling was perfectly fine :) Also it's okay that you wrote a lot because I love long messages! I also wrote a lot so sorry too hahah!
We just started a twitter account for the Naruto Club to send out news and updates as they come along. If you have twitter you can follow us by visting the following link:
