I heavily gravitate to anime with unique art style, heavy gore, philosophical undertones, and a focus on atmosphere. Something lighthearted every now and again to break up the monotony of always picking something dark is a welcome addition too. Preferred genres: Horror, Psychological, Avant-garde, Historical, Action and Gore.

I only use myanimelist to keep track of what i watch and read, not to rate them. Besides, my opinion on a lot of shows keep changing from time to time, so its a hassle to rate everything :P

honestly i got kengan ashura on hold on and reading 3 chapters between 2 months from january now.. on the other hand i readed 1,000+ manga chapters of Baki... so, i answer: should i finish Kengan?

Yeah, deciding your own pace for anime is way better. The advantage of waiting weekly is normally that you can discuss the episodes in the meantime, but I'm afraid to get spoiled by people who have already read the manga. It makes discussing the manga with my friend harder too, because he knows more than me >.<

Yeah S1 theme song was better too, but I like the animation in this one a lot more.

My friend who got me into Vinland Saga warned me that I might find S2 boring or slow. So far I'm enjoying it, although I hate that it's only 1 episode per week :"( ...

I binged S1 in like 2 days so it's a huge change of pace. Not only in terms of action but also in time I have to wait.

I will just put my blind faith onto my friend's opinion about the upcoming episodes haha

Btw, I see we have relatively same scores to our anime. What do you think of Vinland Saga S2 so far?
