I get what you mean. Based on the previews of the last episode, it looks like they're going to expand a bit on the flashback when they first met. Hopefully it's executed well enough to make up for the divergence from the manga. I was really irritated with what they did with the whole, "It was all according to Ging's plan" bullshit. We'll see.
I see. It's cool, dude. Take your time. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts anyways.
Yeah, I was also quite happy to see HxH being picked up again as it's a favorite of mine. I actually like some of the filler they've been doing since they're just drawing it out more but I was quite disappointed with what they did with Kite and Gon's relationship. I'm still really enjoying it but that part, in particular, bothered me.
Yeah, that's true. After I caught up I also realized it wasn't likely but it was still cool to guess. As far as wanting to see it in a manga one day, you did say you're also a fan of HxH and it's sort of similar, in a way. HxH's remake is getting more epic by the episode though.
I'm aware that you're a little further ahead in Shingeki no Kyojin than I am at the moment but saw your comment and wanted to add my two cents.
"I keep having this reoccurring thought. Now I know this theory is massively flawed and has little evidence to support it, but think of it as food for though. What if the titan re-population process, was the transformation of humans, and some have retained a fraction of their memories, giving them intelligence, and would also explain all these weird interactions as of late."
What I thought upon watching episode 5 was that the reason why they didn't have reproductive organs and, yet, there were so many of them was because the Titans reproduced by eating humans. Would explain why they become so desperate to kill them once they see em, how they look like humans and how they hunt them despite having no need to eat to live. Maybe their appearance after 100 years meant it was hunting season again. I'm also watching HxH and, in the Chimera Ant arc, the queen chimera reproduces by eating other living organisms. It's called "Phagogenesis".
That would be a nice plot twist especially if the people that are eaten are reincarnated in a way that the victims of the titans become the titans themselves and continue a chain. Titan eats human --> Titan reproduces and create a titan from eating the human --> That titan eats humans and it repeats. Would be epic especially since their fallens comrades would be, in a sense, the ones that are killing and eating them.

Do you have any new Shingeki No Kyojin theories?
