I've been hanging in there. Been doing odd jobs as I try reapplying to college, embarrassingly I had dropped out a few years ago due to personal reasons. I'm sure I'll have a tough time ahead of me. That said, I'm trying to stay optimistic about things. Trying to get some of my poetry published as well.
Still watch anime, but I've lost interest in watching them seasonally.
Oh, and very belated Happy Birthday.
Gosh, sounds pretty busy... Good luck!
You know what you're going to do when you graduate?
How's it going?
I work at a kennel now! Lots of early shifts, but I get to play with dogs (and by extension, not actually have to deal with people) so it's all good!
For me I think I'm just super done with high school shoehorning its way into EVERYTHING. I just don't care about teenage melodrama (exceptions being, say, stuff like Ore Monogatari, where it's actually funny and not "oooh which trope will the MC pick as their love interest?! teenage love lives are so interesting!"). I can take it if it's the backdrop to something, but so often the school aspect is THE focal point even when it probably shouldn't be (take, for example, Charlotte - weird powers developing in young people; could be fun, it'll be anime x-men! how weird powers impact their school lives - I really don't care!)
I've been neglecting reading myself. I did unearth my Harry Potter books though so I'm planning to re-read those (or I will do when I get a copy of Philosopher's Stone, it's the one book I couldn't find on my shelves)!
As for why MonMusu...well, there's a lamia in it! I'm super into reptiles and a lamia is basically a snake, so I get a weird joy out of taking everything about Miia Deadly Seriously. The fapservice is getting kind of unbearable though so it's probably getting the boot because the uncomfortableness isn't really outweighing the humour I'm getting from it.
But it has made me realised I would like a cute, funny manga about monsters when they're not being monsters. The lovechild of Shirokuma Cafe and The Young Maiden in Love is a Carnivore: the Daily Lives of Monsters (audience: me). :<
That's probably for the best! I don't know if it's just because I'm getting older or I've just seen a lot of stuff that's in recent series before (usually done better, but not always) but I'm kind of heading the same direction myself, there's a lot of airing/next season's titles recently that I've just had an "uuuuugh (rolls eyes)" reaction to. Even stuff that I should rightly like just seems kind of dumb sometimes. I mean, I can barely be bothered to watch the new Durarara stuff despite the fact I really like the first season and it's not as if Shou was bad or anything...I dunno. :C
Ooh, what's your go to for exercise? I'm currently without access to a pool so I've been sulking about not being able to swim since the end of June. :v
Everything's fine! I'm just stupidly busy despite being "off" for the summer (I do have a new job though, one that I don't actively hate and actually enjoy so that's a marked improvement on multiple levels). Moved to a new house quite recently too, so that's been fun! Sinking my free time into an mmo instead of anime these days, apparently (and, of course, I waste what time I do have to watch stuff on watching things like Monster "ain't lamia kawaii?! Musume).
Yourself?
