I was among the many kids in the 1990s that was first introduced to anime through Dragon Ball Z and have been hooked ever since. My tastes have matured a bit since then, though DBZ will always have a special place in my heart, and I love watching a wide variety of anime from fantasy, action, and sci-fi to psychological thrillers and occasionally romance (I'm a sucker for some good romance). Plus, if it has a cool soundtrack (i.e. written by Yoko Kanno or Michiru Oshima) I'll probably watch it. When I'm not watching anime, I am watching baseball, working, playing music, and hopefully building up to become a professional musician.

In regards to my ratings, I tend to be a pretty lenient guy and can ride on the high side with my scores; however, I try to watch good quality anime in the first place. As long as the story can suck me in and make me look forward to the next episode, it did something right in my book.
